Foxborough is having an early Christmas this year, with the grandest celebration in college football unveiled at the Gillette Stadium. The audience has been adrenalized with the historic rivalry unfolding in front of them, for the 124th time. While the people at the stadium are awaiting the mighty performance to unfold, Army vs Navy has yet another surprise for them.

While the champion of Commander-in-chief Trophy this year continues to remain the biggest surprise, this one was enough to make them give a standing ovation with a mega round of applause.

A sky show is taking place at the Gillette Stadium, ahead of the game, where several aircraft have taken over the field. With their amazing stunts, they have not only turned the sky grey but also heightened the anticipation of fans. With the sound of these fighter aircraft reverberating through the city, fans and crew members alike take a moment to appreciate their nation.

1980, the year when the two of these teams first clashed, the Midshipmen made a clean sweep against the new in the game Army Black Knights. Fast forward to 2023, the Midshipmen are struggling to score a single point against the Army Black Knights in the second quarter, as the Army benefitted 7 points from the quarter.

If the Army beats the Navy in their 124th clash, they would make their way straight to the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy, as they come in after beating the airforce earlier this season. Whereas, if things go the other way around, then the Navy will have to share the pedestal with Army and Airforce as the Airforce defeated the Navy earlier this season.

One thing is for sure, if the Navy wants a comeback, they will have to get it in this second half of the game, as they are yet to score any point. Generally, in Army vs Navy games, it all boils down to the last interception or touchdown, which is the level of competition fans expected while buying the tickets for today. So, if they get a one-sided performance, it won’t be the same energized atmosphere in the Gillette Stadium as it was before.
