Colorado players were recently seen engaging in friendly banter. Still, while the new generation should always be welcomed to step up and be better, Shilo Sanders doesn’t seem pleased with the notion that the younger players might just one-up him on the gridiron, and his recent interaction reflects just that.

Shilo Sanders, the safety for the Colorado Buffaloes, wasn’t exactly a tide-turner for the team but gave it his all by the end of the day. Even though Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter became the Buffs’ star players, Shilo was always present on the field, trying to better the team’s defense. Now that a fellow player is mocking him, Shilo’s reaction was almost agitated.

The latest video from Kaleb Mathis’ YouTube channel followed the lives of the Buffs’ players as they tried to give the fans a much better insight into their intricate lives. Later, it saw several players sitting together and eating food, which evolved into a heated conversation between Shilo and the Buffs’ wide receiver.

The two engaged in a back-and-forth regarding Shilo’s incompetence in trying to stop Mathis from making the play. Shilo started the conversation by trying to draw attention to the fact that Mathis only runs in a slanted direction and not a vertical one. To which, Mathis replied by saying. “Did I go vertical on you?” Shilo’s response made it seem like he didn’t think much of the WR when he first joined the team when he said, “Cuz I wasn’t taking you serious as a player.” Lastly, Mathis commented, “See how they do when they get beat? They don’t take you serious.” Thus, it looks like the Buffs’ players have things to resolve among themselves as Shilo continues to be a hot topic because of his controversial practice session that had all the fans riled up.

Shilo Sanders claps back at the constant hate against his name

The duo of Shedeur-Shilo has been the pride and jewel of Coach Prime’s squad. Even though the fans couldn’t see him during the 2023 season much, the constant training he’s undergoing makes us believe that he’ll be a vital part of the 2024 roster. Recently, he faced criticism from the fans after the Well Off Media page saw him deliver a late hit on a teammate during the spring practice. Since it was such an unfair tackle, the fans took him to the cross and spewed a lot of hate on him for a mistake that was made in training.

In response to all the hatred, Shilo said, “Download PFF, pay the $90 and you’ll see I had a 12% miss tackle rate… Y’all never touched a football. Never touched a field. Never put on pads in y’all’s life. And if you have, you was weak. That’s how y’all sound. So go and do your research.” It seems like Shilo has had it with the haters always being on his case for not being “good enough”, and his response might repel them away for some time. Moreover, as his last season with the Buffs draws to a close, all eyes will be on the Sanders men to redeem themselves after the lackluster 2023 season.
