The University of Michigan’s football program is still under NCAA’s investigation. They were allegedly accused of sign-stealing and breaking the NCAA bylaw 11.6.1, which prohibits in-person scouting. The person held responsible for this is the Michigan staffer, Conner Stalions, who has been suspended. But the matter has not ended yet and is still ongoing.

The Come and Talk 2 Me YouTube channel has recently posted a discussion on this matter. It not only provides valuable updates on the Conner Stalions incident but also provides the honest opinions of Maurice Clarett, a former football running back. And his opinions do hold some truth.

The Come and Talk 2 Me YT channel, on November 2, 2023, had a discussion with former football player Maurice Clarett about the Michigan incident. The host asked Clarett to explain his views on the situation in a little more detail, including his opinions. Surprisingly, the legend started off with the most shocking detail.

First, I think you have to start off with the guy is an ex-military guy, right, and if anybody’s been around anybody who’s been like a Navy SEAL or a ranger of some sort like these people literally function and operate as if like they’re in the military every day… What I really think happened is that he was like a bugged-out dude. He went on sidelines, he investigated stuff, but I think like I don’t think Coach Harbaugh sent him out to do anything like that.”

Maurice Clarett believes what is happening right now is that Michigan and Coach Harbaugh are a victim of the whole situation Conner Stalions created. The legend gave some more in-depth information on the military side of the suspended staff. He delved into Stalions’ thought process and what he was actually trying to do.

Did Conner Stalions’ military thoughts influence his actions?

According to Maurice Clarett, Connor Stalions was a fanatic for Michigan. He wanted to put together and assemble some information that he thought would be helpful to the Michigan coaches. However, no coaches of the Michigan football program sent him out to investigate other teams. Clarett stated that if one knows scouting departments, they have a robust staff.

There is not any information that Stalions would be able to get that would be helpful or beneficial to Michigan. The former RB also stated that it’s an NCAA issue because there’s no information that a person would get on a sideline that would be different than a normal scouting report. So, he believes it’s a rule change issue. Also, it’s a fanatic issue, and not Michigan trying to cheat. What are your opinions?
