Deion Sanders seems to be living the dream. After a brilliant NFL career, Deion Sanders switched to coaching, shaping young talent across levels. Now, as the Buffs’ head coach, he’s their leader on the field and their mentor off it. But Coach Prime’s ambitions extend beyond football. He recently published a motivational memoir, Elevate and Dominate, sharing his wisdom and inspiring others to succeed. But this is only one piece of Deion’s dream. He still has an incomplete journey.

In a recent interview on his son Deion Sanders Jr.’s YouTube channel, Well Off Media, Deion revealed a lingering dream. He wished to follow in the footsteps of a coaching legend and potentially lead the Colorado Buffaloes to a championship. In a way, it shed some light on Coach Prime’s unfulfilled ambition.

Deion Sanders Jr. recently sat down with his dad, Coach Prime, for a heart-to-heart about his dreams. When asked about his aspirations, Coach Prime revealed, “I would like to be the first Black man too. The head coach win a National Championship.” While Tony Dungy became the first African American head coach to win a Super Bowl, this dream remains an unachieved goal for Coach Prime.

But Deion Sanders’ ambitions extend beyond personal glory. He also aspires to guide others. He explained, “I would like to help you get to where you want to go, be where you want to be, see the things you need to see.” This desire, he says, is “pretty much the only reason” he wrote his memoir. Through his coaching and writing, Deion strives to be a life coach, empowering others to achieve their dreams. In that sense, at least one of his aspirations has been successfully fulfilled.
