Wilkinson’s departure from Colorado is the latest in a string of exits that Coach Sanders and the Buffaloes have witnessed. In the past week alone, 22 players have left the team. Along with Dylan Edwards and Alton McCaskill, Wilkinson’s exit leaves the team with only three running backs, including true freshman Micah Welch and walk-ons Charlie Offerdahl and Christian Sarem. With the Spring game approaching, Colorado faces a critical shortage in the RB room, compounded by their negative transfer portal balance for the year.

Now, with the transfer portal closing on April 30, the Buffaloes are actively seeking new recruits to bolster their ranks ahead of Black and Gold Day.
