Will Huzzie, rear guard for the East Tennesse State Buccaneers, is out for the season. Heading into the season the WR has been manning the ship for the team and had a decent season thus far. His 2023/24 campaign is now cut short by a serious injury. Suffering a major injury last Saturday, the star player called curtains on his collegiate career.

There were emotional scenes all around as the rising star called it quits with his footballing career. The player was only getting better with each game and looking a solid prospect for the future. However, with the injury coming in mid-season, it might make things difficult for the no.9 as he makes a comeback next season.  Tears rolled down from the East Tennesse State Buccaneers players and fans as they won’t be able to see the player in action for the remainder of the season. He took to platform X to shower gratitude on the fans and the injury scares.

William Huzzie pens down an emotional note

The 2023/24 NCAA season saw several stars coming into the competition. Amongst these, William Huzzie was an up-and-coming player who promised a lot of potential and was looking for a huge star for the future. However, his footballing dream was cut short as he suffered ACL and MCL tears. He took platform X to shed light on the issues. On an emotional note, the player penned down his thoughts. “Last Saturday, I, unfortunately, tore my ACL and MCL and won’t be able to get back to this season which brings my collegiate career to an end.”

It was a heartbreaking message as the youngster highlighted the career highs in his heart-wrenching post. He highlighted that he was grateful for the championships he won. “That being said, I am very grateful for my time at ETSU and for your consistent support.” He touched on the momentous victories in his short career. “From winning a SoCon championship and the Unity March, to early lifts and late nights with my team-mates, it has been an unforgettable ride at the ETSU.” Huzzie was grateful for all the things he achieved and was looking forward to the next phase of his career.

What lies ahead for William Huzzie?

While this might not be the end of the road for Huzzie. He is looking to move on from the minor obstacle in his life. The ACL tears coupled with an MCL one could be a career-destroying injury. Huzzie is remaining confident about the things to come in the future. He credits the fan support right through and gives his admirers clarity regarding where he’s headed in the future.

He further elaborated in the tweet saying- “This might be a minor setback but I’m looking forward to getting back healthy and preparing myself for the next chapter in my life. God is the greatest and I know he has a plan for me.” The mindset going forward is positive and one that shows that the youngster won’t be stopping anytime soon!

While the ACL and MCL tears might have applied brakes on an otherwise decent career. William Huzzie has promised his fans a roaring comeback and gracing the field once again!
