There’s a shakeup of things at Syracuse University in the football arena. It was a season of positive changes for the team, as the HC also chipped in with his words. The university had been looking for a potent head coach for quite some time. It was endearing to see someone of Fran Brown’s caliber getting the terrific opportunity.

Fran Brown already has some history with Georgia University. He was earlier the defensive coach for Georgia University and worked with the defenders back there. In a season of untimely firing, Syracuse also axed their HC well before finishing with the Orange. Hence, they’re looking for someone with experience as a replacement. Fran Brown, the former Georgia University defense coach, was the ideal recruit. He even got words of appreciation from Kirby Smart, whose team won the National Championship last year. The HC wrote, “Fran is excellent. No ego, he’s trustworthy, smart and he’s worked really hard during his two seasons here to earn an opportunity like this.”

For Fran Brown, this is a great time to take over the reins as a head coach. Having previously worked as a defense coach would be of immense importance. The 41-year-old now has a great opportunity to bring his coaching experience and use it to create a successful team.

For the Syracuse side, they must bounce back after being left without an HC mid-way through the season. Brown has always worked behind the scenes, and now, as an assistant coach, he gets his time under the lights! A beaming Brown received the media once he became an HC.
