Julian Lewis aims for the cover boy spot!
Joining Deion Sanders’ team at Colorado seems like a done deal for the 5-star quarterback. But the coveted talent is set on something bigger than college football. Inspired by Travis Hunter’s EA Sports College Football 25 game cover appearance, Lewis is aiming for a similar feat — a coveted spot on the cover of a high-school football video game, if one ever existed.
Hunter became a local hero in Boulder in May after landing a spot on the EA Sports College Football 25 game cover alongside other top NCAA players. Now, imagine a similar game for high school football! Lewis is definitely the top contender for that cover spot. After all, he’s boasted an impressive 65.5% pass completion rate in high school, throwing for 7,212 yards and a whopping 96 touchdowns.

On July 15, things got even more interesting. Boots Sports Graphics created mock covers for “EA Sports High School Football 25,” featuring Lewis and Bryce Underwood. Another graphic poster featured rising high school stars like Devin Sanchez, DJ Pickett, and Na’eem Offord. JuJu shared these on his Instagram story, hinting at his ambitious dream.
The current EA Sports cover star, Travis Hunter, is already living the dream. He’s promoting the game’s July 19 launch with a live stream on Twitch and even a “launch party” with game giveaways. JuJu clearly dreams of following in his footsteps next year.

Julian Lewis’s EA Sports dream might be alive
Julian Lewis‘ commitment is just days away, and the excitement is buzzing! Last year, he pledged his allegiance to USC and had two years of eligibility left. But things changed fast. This superstar QB became Boulder’s golden boy after three visits this year. His last visit, on June 21, was quite legendary. It had everything from a custom burger named after him to fans chanting his name. This outpouring of love undoubtedly solidified his commitment to Colorado.

Shortly after he visited Deion Sanders’ team, JuJu landed a huge deal with Jaxxon jewelry. This partnership with a men’s accessory brand known for its success (raising $10 million in recent years) is seen as a major win for Lewis’ profile. Many fans credit Deion’s indirect influence for this. After all, Deion’s magic touch has turned Colorado into a hotbed for NIL deals, with players like Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders raking it in with a valuation of $2.7 million and $4.6 million, respectively. “CU gives kids so much notoriety and fame and NIL follows after. You look at Shedeur. You look at Travis. The NIL money follows,” said expert Jacob Pauly last month.
This combination of monster NIL deals and coveted 5-star stats landed Hunter the cover spot on the EA Sports game. Now, Julian seems to be on the same path. Who knows, we might just see the next EA Sports cover star chilling in Boulder next year!
