The pride and might of the Colorado Buffaloes might be overtaken by this young new talent in the team due to the rigorous efforts he keeps putting in day and night to be the best. With his family on the line, he won’t fail in his mission to make it within the top-10 pick in the 2025 draft or even end up being better than the Buffs’ current QB, Travis Hunter.
This is Jimmy Horn Jr., the WR for the Colorado Buffaloes, who displayed exceptional talent in the 2023 season. He and Jack Bailey were the only two players in Colorado to play and start in every game last season. Additionally, he recorded over 58 receptions, 567 receiving yards, and over 6 touchdowns for CU. Now, he is training hard to ensure his draft stock is at an all-time high by the end of this season, so much so that he could very possibly surpass the fantastic Travis Hunter.

On the May 21st episode of the Prime to Colorado show, the host went on a long rant to talk about the supposed breakout season that Horn could have with the onset of the 2024 season. Moreover, he briefly elaborated on all the hard work the WR is putting in, aiming to make it to the NFL.

The host emphasized Horn’s dedication and how it directly stems from a motivation to make his family proud by saying, “He’s going to make sure he’s getting in all the work necessary to achieve the goal of being an NFL draft pick and making sure his family is set for good. So Jimmy Horn is definitely motivated. I did a video a year ago just talking about the whole dynamic, from his dad to his mom, to his siblings, so everybody’s depending on Jimmy Horn Jr to handle business and he’s taking care of business.”
Also, since Hunter is the Buffs’ current preferred WR, Horn could very likely replace him if he displays a better skillset on the gridiron, thus potentially jeopardizing the star WR’s future in the NFL. With all that said, here’s what Horn had to say about improving drastically for this season as compared to the 2023 run of the team.

Jimmy Horn Jr. wants to be a better version of himself this season
The fans loved Horn on the field during the last season but as far as the WR is concerned, he could’ve done a lot better. During the offseason, he was doing nothing but recovering from a hamstring injury to ensure he is in the best of health this season and be in full senses to elevate the Buffs’ glory.

This is what Horn had to say about his last season’s performance and how he could’ve done better. He said, “Last year, it was an all-right year for me. I could do way better than what I did. I just hold myself to a higher standard, but I really didn’t complete what I wanted to do. But it all comes with playing as a team. Things will come to me.” Thus, the Colorado Buffaloes look to be raising a new star among the big names of Shedeur and Travis, one that could very well replace them on the throne after this season.
