In a recent episode of DNVR Buffs Podcast, hosts RK and Jake discussed the upcoming football season for the Colorado Buffaloes, and who will be leading the Buffaloes in receptions, yards, and touchdowns this season. Both RK and Jake expressed their admiration for Colorado’s star player, Travis Hunter. RK highlighted Hunter’s remarkable journey, tracing back to his days at Collins Hill High School in Georgia.

Citing insights from head coach Drew Swick, RK recounted, “Coach Swick said, ‘It was his freshman year and in practice during the Spring. He came from Florida and he was a freak. I remember we had a really good receiver that year when he first got here, but he was able to kind of shut him down and take over a senior spot at cornerback. It was like watching a future star.”

Analyst Jake Schwanitz joined in the praise, expressing his anticipation to witness Hunter’s continued dominance on the field. “I’ll probably get to watch Travis Hunter play like 20 games as a Buff,” expressed Schwanitz, “So every time I think about Travis, I am like, ‘I cannot wait to watch him do it this year.’ Give me a conference championship, semifinals, and the national championship. But you know what I mean? It is just such a pleasure to watch a player of that caliber in Folsom Field. Sometimes I truly can’t even believe it that he’s a Buff because he’s so special.” Notably, Hunter’s last season stats were quite impressive, even though he did not lead the receivers.
