Travis Hunter is becoming the spotlight grabber in the Colorado Buffaloes football program. A week back, Coach Prime brought the Buffs together with fun activities like archery and fishing. This played right into Travis Hunter’s strengths as the two-way star who loves to fish, reeled in some catches, and even led his team to victory in a scavenger hunt. Meanwhile, the team’s star quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, didn’t get much opportunity to shine.

Now, things seem similar in the Buffs’ new training program too. Recently, to boost their vigor for the “Big 12” season, Coach Prime replaced the fun activities with one of the toughest military workouts – Navy SEAL training. And this time again, Hunter excelled, outshining Shedeur, which even left the quarterback’s half-brother amused.

Bucky couldn’t help but laugh at Shedeur Sanders’ struggle

Deion Sanders Jr. was filming the rigorous Navy SEAL training, which included an intense water activity where Buffs players had to swim across the pool while holding their backpacks for as long and as fast as they could. They also had to do push-ups during their water training sessions. Although it was a condensed version of the original Navy SEAL training, it exhausted the team’s quarterback, Shedeur Sanders. Struggling with stamina, Shedeur took a seat by the pool. His half-brother, Deion Sanders Jr., who was capturing the moment, burst into laughter and said, “Hey, that boy gotta sit there and think about it. Look at him!” Unable to control his laughter, Deion Jr. added, “That boy tired as hell.”

However, Shedeur wasn’t the only one struggling. As the rest of the team joined the pool, several looked exhausted or unsure. But in contrast, wide receiver Travis Hunter swam like a seasoned pro. Deion Jr., still filming, couldn’t help but admire him. “Travis don’t ever get tired!” he exclaimed. Hunter, brimming with energy, even playfully tried to pull the trainer who offered him a hand up. “You trying to pull the man!” Deion Jr. chuckled to himself, still focused on Shedeur’s earlier struggles.

Overall, it seemed like Deion Jr. had plenty of content and fun for the day while the players were clearly exhausted from the intense drills.

Travis Hunter and Shedeur are on a mission to erase last year’s losing record

Deion Sanders pulled out all the stops to get his Buffaloes ready for the season!  He brought in U.S. Marines for an intense training program focused on strength and discipline. The trainer wasted no time setting the tone, declaring, “I’ve been on over 500 missions… but more importantly, I’ve been to 64 funerals.” This emphasized the seriousness and toughness of the program.  However, knowing these were college athletes new to such high-intensity training, he also introduced a “quit circle” for players who felt overwhelmed.

But the Buffs stars didn’t seem intimidated. They kicked off their workout with a warm-up jog, followed by a brutal water training session that left everyone gasping for air.  Even though quarterback Shedeur might have thought he saw his life flash before his eyes, he never gave up. Wide receiver Travis Hunter, on the other hand, seemed superhuman, dominating the challenges. Overall, one thing was clear — both players were determined to erase last year’s losing streak with a “no pain, no gain” attitude.
