If one thing that Colorado Buffaloes’ dual threat, Travis Hunter never runs low in his life, it is his energy. The Buffs are all set to change their last season narrative and are on a mission to bring forward their best potential. Since this journey starts from the gym, Hunter has passed the first test of fitness with flying colors.
Lifting a 335-pound weight has been a cakewalk for Deion Sanders’ two-way phenom. Hunter’s stunts in the weight room did leave the Buffaloes’ assistant strength and condition coach, Brandon Reeyes mesmerized. Not only in the weight room, the two-way star did leave a mark with his underwater antics.

Weight and strength training is something that Deion Sanders’ program is extremely particular about. Hence, besides the on-field drills, the summer workout now includes weight lifting. And no points for guessing who again emerged as the best- of course, Hunter. Under the supervision of Reeyes, the Buffs participated in a 335-pound clean lift. When Hunter’s turn came, the two-way phenom lifted up the heavy weights not one but for three back-to-back sprints.
Coach Reeyes made use of Hunter’s powerback performance and used it as a way to pump up the other players. “Look how easy, look how easy”, came the coach’s words of motivation. Not only in the weight room, but a few days back Hunter came up with a side of his that not many are aware of. As the Buffs underwent Navy SEAL training, Deion Sanders found a new swimming talent in his roster.

Hunter’s aquatic feats leave everyone in awe
With the determination to overturn the last season’s 4-8 record, Deion Sanders implemented a rigorous of-season training. To improve their mental and physical strength, Coach Prime chose water as the medium. During the underwater training, Hunter emerged as the show-stopper in multiple rounds of sprints by being the first one to touch the swimming pool’s edge. Besides, holding his breath for a long time, he performed brilliantly while swimming by keeping a heavy backpack afloat.

Deion Sanders Jr. who captured everything for his Well Off Media could not help but blurted out, “Travis don’t ever get tired!” Mesmerized by Hunter’s backhand and forehand strokes that swept swiftly across the water, NoSKoZone came with a tweet with the caption, “USA SWIMMING TRYING TO RECRUIT TRAVIS HUNTER”. The USA Swimming from their official page did leave a reply for Hunter that showed their interest in the football phenom, “It’s not too late to qualify for our Olympic Trials”.
Even though it is a joke, in case Hunter takes it seriously, will he be a potential threat to swimming champion Carson Foster? It does not seem so since he has a lot of unfinished business in football that he needs to take care of first.
