It was on January 4th that Travis Hunter locked his high school sweetheart as his permanent Valentine. After gaining mastery in flawlessly handling the ball from both ways on the gridiron, Hunter finally made his mind up to lock his faith in Cupid’s ways by proposing to his long-time girlfriend, Leanna Lenee. The duo shared a perfect beachside day with color-coordinated outfits and a series of pictures, where Lenee flaunted her $100k approximated princess cut diamond band.

When fans were just starting to get over the stunning ring, Lenee surprised them with another gift for her now and forever Valentine, her fiance. The Kennesaw State University graduate took to her Instagram to show off her Valentine’s gift for the Buffs tight end, a miniature 3D model of one of his top plays from the 2023 season. Lenee also filmed a video of Hunter opening the gift, which she shared on TikTok. As soon as Hunter began to unwrap the bubble wrap, his eyes lit up like a kid as he caught a glimpse of what was inside!

Hunter opens a glass case with a miniature figurine of himself, making an interception in the Buffs v TCU showdown, in the opening game of the season. But the gift didn’t end there. Lenee revealed that upon scanning the barcode, the exact interception that brought Hunter’s talent into the limelight would pull up on his screen. It was in the third quarter of the game against TCU that Hunter had leaped in front of the opponent team receiver Major Everhart to rip the ball out of the air right in front of the end zone, earning an interception.

Safe to say, the Buffs player stole the show in the game by finishing in his signature style with 11 catches for 119 yards receiving besides the interception. Hunter finished the season equally well. 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns along with three interceptions. If that wasn’t enough to define the pinnacle of his college career, his engagement with his high school girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, enshrined Hunter’s name in the headlines. So much so that even his head coach could not stop teasing him.

Deion Sanders on Travis Hunter’s changed priorities

After their engagement, Hunter likes to spend more time indoors with his fiance. While this might be the couple goals for the season, for Deion Sanders, it was a chance to tease the two-way star playfully.

Because of the mentioned reason, Hunter missed the Super Bowl. Hence, Sanders, with Lil Wayne revealed his updated daily routine. “He ain’t going out, he ain’t doing nothin’. He ain’t smoking, drinking. He’s going to put on a onesie to play that game. That’s all he gonna do. He’d fish,” admitted Prime. While Hunter might have missed some great games, the lady luck in his life is unfolding the best of its magic.
