The world of college football seems to revolve wildly around the Colorado prodigy these days. With the upcoming 2024 season set to be the last time Travis Hunter dons the black and golden jersey, there are several speculations about his NFL Draft prospects. And according to today’s reports, Hunter looks like a hot grab for the elite NFL teams.

Travis Hunter, the wide receiver and cornerback for the Colorado Buffaloes, is one of the star players on the team. So much so, that Coach Prime himself predicted him to be a top-5 pick in the 2025 Draft. With teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Carolina Panthers showing interest in him, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks are also joining in the mix.

Even though Hunter is predicted to have a bright future in the NFL, the recent reports are definitely contradicting Deion‘s words. “Like it or not we’re gonna have a couple guys who are top five picks.”- is what Deion had to say about Shedeur and Travis’ draft stock, something which the Pro Football Network negated strongly.

As per a June 1 2025 Mock Draft from the Pro Football Network, the Jacksonville Jaguars might be picking Travis Hunter with their 15th pick. Additionally, the HawkMania page on X, wrote, “The #Seahawks are predicted to land 2-way playmaker Travis Hunter with the 1st round, 11th pick from the Colorado Buffaloes.” Thus, the Colorado WR is being touted as a player that several teams will want to fight for, and yet, he’s nowhere to be seen among the top 5 picks. What’s also interesting to note is that Uncle Neely talked about the possibility that Hunter might even stay back for another season in Colorado.

The young 21-year-old Travis is already a millionaire despite not seeing a lot of success on the gridiron. Currently, he has an NIL valuation of $2.7 million by On3, ranking him as the second most valuable college football player. Thus, it is evident that Hunter has strong incentives to keep playing at the college level and keep raking in a lot of money, as per Uncle Neely.

On the 27th May episode of the ‘Thee Pregame Show’, Uncle Neely talked about Hunter’s future after the 2024 season, and said, “It’s going to come down to the type of season Travis has this year.” Neely concluded by adding, “Not only do I not know, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed another year.” Moreover, he doesn’t believe that the Draft prospect about Travis should be an automatic assumption for the WR since his NIL earnings are massive, enough to convince him to stay back another year.
