The future star of the NFL still picks Brady as his go-to even after the end of his legacy. Tom Brady retired from the sport back in February 2022 but still holds a massive impact on the NFL as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. And with Caleb’s recent mentions of him, it is obvious that the Brady fever didn’t ever leave the field, after all.

Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the USC Trojans, is a hot topic these days amid the NFL Draft tensions. The fans are looking to the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner with a lot of excitement as he’s the projected number 1 overall Draft pick. Moreover, Williams is constantly at the forefront of media and their questions these days and when he was asked about his perfect quarterback, his answer seemed like a trip back to memory lane for the fans.

In a recent clip from Williams’ NFL Combine interview, he was seen talking about the players who would fit in the description of his ultimate quarterback. While he mentioned several great players, the former QB for the Buccs name came up more than once.

Williams and the conversation with the reporter was him asking Williams his preferences to which most of the answers included Brady, “Whose arm are you putting on the quarterback? Aaron Rodgers. Whose size, whose body? Tom Brady. Whose strength? Ben Roethlisberger. Whose toughness? Philip Rivers. Whose football IQ? Gotta go Tom again. Whose speed? Lamar Jackson. And who’s persona? Tom Brady.” It is evident that the Trojans’ QB looks up to Tom Brady but he’s also talked about how he wants to be better than the 7-time Super Bowl winner.

Caleb Williams wants to join the NFL, hoping to break Brady’s record

Tom Brady wore the number 12 jersey throughout the 23 seasons he spent in the NFL. Interestingly enough, Williams’ number 13 seems almost like fate since the youngster already plans to leave Brady behind in the rearview mirror. In a recent statement, Williams was seen talking about his goals in the NFL, which definitely got the fans’ ears all perked up.

Williams said, “First pick of the draft and then (my other goal) is eight Super Bowls. Tom Brady has seven, so you got to set the bar high.” These are certainly high-level ambitions for someone who hasn’t played a single game in the NFL yet but is looking to conquer Brady’s glory. Come April, Williams’ future will be firmly set for years to come as he chases 8-Super Bowls desperately.
