The latest Coach Prime Season 2 episode exposes the struggle that Shedeur Sanders faced in their Week 8 game against the UCLA Bruins. He suffered a total of seven sacks as they lost 28-16, leading Coach Prime Deion Sanders to make changes.

After the dismal game, Deion Sanders Jr. unleashed his fury over the 11 starters on offense, saying, “I’ve been challenged to replace all of you.” He paused and pointed to Shedeur Sanders, “Him included. That’s the baddest quarterback in college football, and Coach told me to go find another (QB).

Coach Prime Deion Sanders was furious with the team’s performance in protecting their starting QB. The game saw him yelling at his son, “Get the ball out of your hands quick! Please! You’re gonna get killed.”

He stated, “When I make a change on the personnel on the field or in the coaching aspect, it’s long thought out. I don’t make any changes of that nature based on emotions. I’m not a seesaw type of a person. But when things don’t happen as we think they should, we change. We make a change.

A tough game for Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders

The Colorado vs. UCLA game saw panic gripping the Buffs coach, players, and fans as Shedeur Sanders was hit 17 times. He got five sacks in the first half, along with numerous hard hits. This has led him to take a painkilling injection during halftime to curb the pain.

UCLA had toppled Colorado 28-16. It seems the Buffs will have to figure out how to protect Shedeur, their QB, from taking hits.

Watching his son get beaten up in the field, it’s a natural father instinct for Coach Prime to want to protect his son. He said, “I don’t think any other quarterback can put up with, stand and deliver like ours does, week in and week out, and take in the beating that he has taken.” Shedeur Sanders finished the season as the most-sacked quarterback with 52 sacks.
