Peggy Coppom is a loyal, loyal lady. Staying true to her first love, Colorado Buffaloes, the 99-year-old oldest fan of Colorado, made a one-of-a-kind special request to the face that everyone wants to see at Colorado. Coppom has seen 16 head coaches come and go out of Boulder, but never one like Deion Sanders. Probably why the friendship she shares with him is the most precious. Deion Sanders paid the CU superfan a special visit to her house after he was hired in 2022. Hence, when Sanders and Colorado found themselves in the middle of a dire situation, Peggy had to come to their rescue.

“Juju I have been cheering for this Colorado Buffs team for 84 years and I’m getting tired of being a good loser. I would love to be a good winner. So come on out here and play for us and help us win,” Peggy said in the video posted on X by Laura Levy. The replacement of Shedeur Sanders after he leaves for the 2025 NFL season remains a top priority of the Buffs, especially when their top prospect for it has already committed to USC since 2023.

Since he has restructured his class to 2025, this off-season might be their only chance to secure Julian ‘JuJu’ Lewis before Lincoln Riley locks him in for good after making him a QB this season. The Buffs Nation force is doing the job of the ultimate magnet pulling the five-star prospect toward Buffs, wishing that he would flip. He has visited Colorado thrice already, one time with his father. His likes for playing under Deion Sanders is pretty much palpable.

All he needs is one last push, one big thrust to make the final decision. For the past month, several Colorado staffers and fans have urged him to make the decision official. It didn’t seem to work. So Peggy decided to step in with all her adorableness. The message from Peggy might be the only message Lewis needs before making his decision official since his views about Colorado are pretty sorted.

Since the time Lewis has opened his options other than USC, Colorado has been on the top of the list for the QB. His interest in joining Deion Sanders’ program was evident as he has already visited Sanders and Co. thrice, one time among them with his father. JuJu’s father had been his coach since his childhood. So the QB taking his father there to meet with Prime hints at it being a big thing. “Thanks for always caring about what’s best for me,” Lewis captioned a picture of his father deep in conversation with Prime.

Speaking about Colorado, the Carrollton HS star said, “Coach Prime is super positive and motivating. Talking to Coach Shurmur and Shedeur, they want me to make the best decision for me, but made it clear that I have the opportunity to play early.” His thoughts about Deion Sanders reflect his enthusiasm to join the Buffs. Will he? Remains the biggest question that the Buffs have this season.
