Is Kyshawn Johnson biased towards Coach Primе? It certainly appears that way to the college football community. The two share a strong bond from their NFL days, and Johnson has been consistently defensive of Dеion Sandеrs when critics have tried to defame him, whether in the NFL or college football.

In fact, during the spring portal controversy, when Shеdеur Sandеrs faced backlash for his comments about Gavin Kuld and other former Colorado players, Johnson defended him, stating that such remarks are “common between college kids.” However, the college football community believes Johnson’s decision has turned into bias, especially after the former Jets rightly predicted Colorado to win the Big 12 championship.

During an interview with CFB analyst Joel Klatt on June 24th, Deion Sanders openly said that he is not following his kids to the NFL next year, saying, “I plan on being here and being dominant.” As this assurance from Coach Prime became a hot topic of discussion on the FS1 show, guest host Keyshawn Johnson shared his bold prediction. Highlighting Deion Sanders’ commitment to the Buffaloes, Johnson predicted that he sees Colorado winning the Big 12 championship this season.

“Look, Deion has a plan, right? And he said it,” Johnson stated. “When that plan materializes and he gets them, and I got him winning the Big 12 when he gets there.” When co-host Rachel Nichols asked if he saw them winning this very season, Johnson confidently replied, “I do.”

This prediction has made CFB fans furious with Keyshawn, as they believe it stems from his good relationship with Coach Prime rather than an objective analyst’s viewpoint. “This is why you got fired from your other job,” wrote one fan, directly criticizing Johnson on X, captioning the same clip from Undisputed while tagging him in the post. And with that, many others echoed similar sentiments in the comments section of the same.

Keyshawn Johnson’s prediction received severe backlash from the CFB fans

The comment section was soon flooded with college football fans openly expressing their opposition to Johnson’s prediction. One user chimed in and advised in their comments that when it comes to Deion Sanders, Colorado, “don’t ask Keyshawn or Michael Irvin” as both are known for their good bond with Coach Prime.

Some even commented and labeled Johnson a “liar,” while others urged him to do a “drug test.” Meanwhile, another fan wrote that “Key is a homer with his friends” and does not know “a damn thing” about the Big 12 conference.

While some fans tried to give Keyshawn a reality check, saying “They probably won’t even beat Arizona and Utah,” let alone win the conference.

While this is true and does sound like an unrealistic standard, given Colorado exited the last season with a 4-8 record, Johnson might need to rethink his prediction before the season hits.
