The Colorado Buffaloes are ready for the last ride of Sheduer, Shilo, and Travis with the team since they will all be leaving for the NFL next year. While this is saddening news for the Buffs’ fans, it is even more saddening for Deion Sanders since this is the last season he’ll be coaching his sons.

The team had a lot of success with the Sanders family in the 2023 year. Coach Prime and his sons played a major role in overturning their 2022 disastrous record of 1-11, to a 4-8 record which despite not being too victorious, ended up making a drastic shift in the program. Now, they will all be donning their black and golden jerseys for the last year, Deion and his team couldn’t be more excited to run through the tunnel together.

On 2nd July, Deion took to Instagram to talk to his beloved fans and took a lot of their questions. During the session, one of the fans asked him about his thoughts about playing with the Sanders brothers for their last college eligibility year, and Coach Prime was just filled to the brim with feelings of longing.

Deion mentioned how he missed the entire team rather than just his sons since everyone’s on break and spoke highly of this upcoming season. He said, “This one right here, is special. This is my last hoorah with my shawties. They ready to go. The whole team. The coaching staff, administrators, everybody, the cooking staff, the custodian, we are ready. I can’t wait, I’m excited. I miss my boys already. I’m not talking about my sons, I’m talking about the whole team. I’m so used to seeing them everyday. Everybody on break right now and I miss them.”

Thus, this season, Coach Prime and co. will want to give it their all in order to ensure that they make their last bullet in the chamber count. Moreover, the Buffs’ rival team’s HC, Matt Rhule, had a lot of high praise for the program and players like Travis Hunter and Shedeur as they prepare hard for this season.

Matt Rhule speaks highly of the Buffs and Coach Prime

On the recent episode of ‘The Joel Klatt Show: A College Football Podcast,’ the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Matt Rhule, came on to the show to provide his thoughts on the upcoming season and how well-prepared his team is. During one of the segments, the conversation led to their arch-rivals, the Colorado Buffaloes, and surprisingly, Rhule had a lot of commendable words to say for their staunch competitors.

Rhule talked about how the influence of Travis, Shedeur, and Deion combined means a great deal for the influence of the sport on the American public and he did so with a compliment. He said, “You take Shedeur, Travis Hunter, all the players they have and you take Coach (Deion) Sanders, they’re going to come into our place as a really good football team with dynamic players that you have to compete with. How good is it for that part of the country to have this game and to have it be on national TV at night? What Deion (Sanders) has done, in my opinion, is he’s made football relevant to maybe people who weren’t watching it.

Thus, the Cornhuskers will be taking on the Buffaloes on 8th September and after suffering three consecutive losses, will be hoping to bring the horns of Deion’s team down to the ground. But since this is their one final golden run, the fans should expect a Buffaloes’ squad unlike any other.
