Jim Harbaugh was set to become one of the highest-paid coaches till he faced a huge blow. University of Michigan‘s sign-stealing scandal has escalated to a whole new level. Before the scandal, discussions about the HC signing a new contract were already ongoing. Harbaugh was set to make $36.68 Million through 2026 with an annual compensation of over $7M. That also includes the base pay, bonuses, and team performance incentives.

However, it will all come crashing down because HC Jim Harbaugh will face a lengthy suspension in 2024. It is a massive blow to his contract; it is a ‘disaster’ as termed. ESPN College Football on YouTube posted Finebaum’s discussion in the Matt Barrie Show. Harbaugh’s suspension is now a vogue topic, and Michigan is in a bad situation. To that, Finebaum said, “This is a complete and utter disaster for the University of Michigan because there’s so much discovery that the NCAA has already uncovered.

He continued, “That doesn’t necessarily equate- doesn’t equate at all to what you know the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame PR have been saying. And I think it leads many to believe that Harbaugh will look for any exit he can. It will stop them from giving him the extension. It doesn’t mean that much for today, but it means a lot for tomorrow.
