The Prime Effect is everlasting! Ever since Nike announced the release date of the Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ’96, fans have been hot on the heels to get a pair. The Coach Prime colorway features a black-and-white upper with gold hints to resemble the color of the Buffs. The customized version is what Deion Sanders wore all through last season, while Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders wore the cleat version. So, it’s no wonder it’s a hot asset.

On June 14, Deion took to Instagram to report the successful launch of the new Nike DT shoes. In a new photoshoot, all the Sanders men are seen posing in all black, donning the Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ’96. But it’s Deion Sanders’ caption that had fans in splits.

Deion Sanders reveals more colorway releases soon

Even if lady luck wasn’t around for fans who missed the release, there’s still a chance to own Coach Prime’s Nike Air DTs. Fans will surely be able to get their hands on a fresh batch on its arrival. Deion Sanders assured his fans in a post on X saying, “Don’t worry if you missed out on this release, Nike has revealed four Diamond Turf 3 colorways, along with Nike Air Diamond Turf 1’s coming soon.”

Before jumping to decisions, it’s important to check out the releases because these are cleats and not shoes. But the good news for fans yearning to own a Coach Prime Nike Air shoe is that the DT 3, which is designed in the Buffs’ colors, is likely to be released in the shoe form.

With an eye on the next season, Nike initially planned to outfit the entire Colorado Buffaloes team with DT 3 cleats. This makes sense as a few players essentially tested them in the last season. The plan also included the release of the shoes to a wider audience in 2025. Because of the success of Coach Prime’s media machine promoting it, Nike moved up the shoe release this year. In February, the Sanders clan met with Nike officials and gave them feedback. This propelled the early release. We’ll look out for signs of other DT lineups being released in the coming years.
