Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, was recently seen talking about the major changes that the new NIL policy has incurred and it has drawn a lot of attention from the fans. The 56-year-old coach has been on a spree to recruit a lot of talents in this year’s transfer portal. But it seems that signing new players comes with its own set of difficulties.

The new NIL deal that was recently introduced caused a drastic shift in the world of football. Players will now receive a lot more financial benefits from the usage of their image on televised channels. Moreover, the deal allows the athletes to make endorsement deals and make money through personal appearances as well. Though this move was made in response to the low reimbursement of these players, it is now being heavily scrutinized.

On the latest episode of the ‘Coach JB show with Big Smitty’, the hosts were seen reacting to a Coach Prime video, where he was talking about recruiting new players. Deion said that Shedeur and Travis were the biggest incentives for newer players to join Colorado as everyone wants to play alongside them. Later, he went on to talk about the cost of players these days and remarked that even walk-on players cost $50,000 these days.

In response to this, coach JB himself said, “When is it getting fixed or is it ever? This is it right here. That’s why Nick Saban walked away in my opinion. I think that’s kind of the boiling point like this is a no-win situation for coaches. Especially for guys like my age, I’m not chasing this around. We’ve lost the fabric of what the sport means. We can’t really develop kids into men anymore.” Thus, this is what he believes was the last straw for Saban as he recently announced his retirement from professional football.

But while he supported Deion’s comments on the NIL deal, he went all out to mock his sons Shedeur and Shilo for their recent viral moment from the Paris Fashion Week.

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders missing practice

Recently, the Sanders brothers were spotted on the runway for the Pharrell X Louis Vuitton show in Paris. They received a lot of attention from the fans but not necessarily in a good way. Turns out, both Sheduer and Shilo missed the first day of training camp with the Buffaloes to walk in Paris as debut models. This led to a widespread backlash against the two and coach JB had fierce words to say.

He was seen asking a question to Matt McChesney, “I just want to know what you thought of the construction worker Sanders and the camel wearing baby Shiloh?” The two youngsters were one of the driving forces behind the squad and it seemed quite lax on their part for missing out on practice during the very start of the new season.
