Deion Sanders, the coach for the Colorado Buffaloes, tried to recruit a hilarious comedian as the transfer portal for college football draws to an end. While the team didn’t have the best season this year, Sanders is giving it his all to try to bring in as many gifted players as possible to revamp the team for next season.

Coach Prime is known to be a master when it comes to the transfer portal. Upon his arrival at Colorado University this year, he signed over 86 new players to the team. And with the newest edition of the transfer portal, he has signed 16 new transfers, which include the likes of Jordan Seaton, the five-star plus player. The team looks ready for next season, but it looks like Deion would like to sign yet another player to the Colorado program.

On the latest episode of the 85 South Show, famous standup comedian Desi Banks came on as a guest and talked about his short-lived football career. Furthermore, he also mentioned how he wanted to go to the NFL but couldn’t make it because of “politics.” In the video, Deion recognized his talents and posted his comment on his Instagram story.

Deion wrote, “That’s my Dawg u already @iamdesibanks got a Scholarship with me! And he can shoot the entire process. “NIL” Baby!” Thus, it is evident that Coach Prime has a heart of gold and is willing to help out anyone who needs it.

But while Desi Banks claimed that it was politics that held him back, his football career stats sure speak differently.

Undoubtedly, Banks is one of the finest comedians of this generation. He’s amassed a lot of fans with his humor, and he continues to make a name for himself. In his 85 South Show episode, he talked about how he would only attend school for the sole purpose of football. He said, ” I wasn’t going to school for nothing else. That’s all I went to school for. They choose who they want.”

Banks’ football career has been nonexistent, to say the very least. He was a wide receiver for the Morehead State Eagles team but has recorded little to no numbers. Additionally, he only played in two seasons, from 2021 to 2022, and recorded a staggering low of 12 points. Thus, while Sanders’ offer stands as a gesture of kindness, it is apparent that Banks couldn’t have had a fine career in the NFL.
