The 2023 season, with its belittling 4-8 score, was not mellow for Colorado Buffs. Some of them took the hit pretty hard. Shedeur Sanders, physically, fractured his back, while Travis Hunter, emotionally, with the losses taking a toll on his state of mind. The two-way star was despondent when it came to on-field day. But his off-field hobby came to his rescue on his crestfallen days.

Albeit this was not the first time Hunter came clean about his indulgence, rather something he counted on whenever he faced a brutal loss, which happened quite a lot this season. In the latest episode of ‘Coach Prime Season 2’ on Amazon Prime, Hunter walked his followers through this distinctive hobby of his.

Starting with pouring down the main from his heart, Hunter said, “I’m hurt, but it’s important to get and get your mind off the bad part.” Fans were relieved to know that the player had an outlet for his negative feelings. “What I do is go fishing, and get my mind clear,” confessed the two-way star. “Just relax and not overthink that I’m hurt and that I wanna be out on the field. It’s just relaxing, and it is fun at the same time. All I like to do is go out there and fish. Because that’s all I pretty much know since I was little is to go fish or go play football. “

Along the way, Hunter introduces the audience to his freshly caught fish, something that he and his company laugh about. The sophomore wide receiver had a nice time with his friend, but he had had a better time fishing with Coach Prime.

Hunter catches a 10-ounce fish

Fishing has always been the soothing resort for Hunter, something that he is quite boastful about as well. Flaunting his fishing dexterity online, Hunter shared his little visit to Coach Prime Lake, the ‘Prime Lake’. The WR was accompanied by none other than his football coach, Deion Sanders. Leveraging the chance to flaunt the ‘only other thing he knows except football’ to his coach since freshman year, Hunter hooked a massive 10-ounce fish from the lake Coach Prime named after him.

Deion Sanders could not contain his excitement as he exclaimed, “Oh my God! Oh, Lord Jesus!” while filming Hunter, showing off his fish. Later, Coach Prime took to Instagram to write, “Caught a monster out of Lake Prime! Oh my God!” While Travis Hunter’s on-field performance leaves the audience in awe, his fishing skills left Sanders’ mouth hanging on the floor.
