As a result, Kristen Saban issued a public acknowledgment addressing her turmoil, announcing that she would take a break from social media and talk about her dad’s announcement later.

Kristen Saban finally opens up about Saban’s retirement

After taking a break and enjoying a vacation, Kristen Saban ultimately posted about Nick Saban’s retirement. Sure enough, it was tough for her, something that she mentioned in her initial story. However, this post was her accepting the situation, along with a promise to cherish all the memories Alabama Crimson Tide has given her. She posted a beautiful reel with captures from across the years with her dad in the red shirts with a grateful “Thanks to the memories”.

The edit featured bits of Sabans’ lives; her celebrating a win with Terry Saban, a wholesome moment with Nick Saban giving a sweet peck on her forehead as a token of his fatherly love, her popping a champagne bottle open, and finally, Saban’s confidence stride with the Crimson Tide into the ground. “It’s been a week and we are at peace, looking forward to what is next. Thanks for the memories,” read the caption. Well, safe to say, that Saban is surely looking forward to his retirement life, given the things he has planned.

What has Nick Saban planned for his retirement?

In an interview with ESPN’s Rece Davis, Saban emphasized that he was not going to ‘sit down and watch Netflix’. He had his retirement planned. “Well, I’m going to keep working. I want to do something,” confessed Saban to Davis. “I have some businesses, maybe there’s some other opportunities out there for me somewhere.”

With this, he also hinted at a career as an NFL analyst or a broadcaster. Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne also reported that Nick Saban would be an advisor for the team on the Paul Finebaum show. As Nick Saban has an array of options in front of him, fans would await the next move of the legendary coach.
