The Texas Longhorns continue to rip Oklahoma State apart with their dexterous plays even after the second half, along with dominating the field with a 35-14 score. However, they might have gone a bit overboard with their energy in the second half as right in the opening kickoff, Texas received bad news.

Despite dominating the Oklahoma State since the beginning of the game, things might go sideways for Texas, which is a tendance of football games. Derek Williams Jr. faces penalty at crucial hour

As if their defensive end getting injured in the very first quarter was not enough, in the third quarter, safety Derek Williams is ejected. The reason for it? The block-on-the-back, also known as the blindsided penalty. On the opening kickoff of the second half, Williams took out Oklahoma State linebacker Jeff Roberson, appearing to collide with the LB’s upper-body, though the referees clearly believed contact was made to his helmet. Now, as per NCAA rules, Williams will be prohibited from Longhorn games till the first half of their next game.

However, it was the staff’s reaction that caught the attention of everyone. Most of the people were staring at the field, dumbfounded, as Williams Jr. made an exit. Texas audience the stadium was even more stunned, some even appearing visibly frustrated with the decision. The same fans were quick to storm social media with comments criticising the decision.

Along with this, the Longhorns secondary continues to get hurt. Texas was already short of 3 players who had to sit out the game. To make it worse, Malik Muhammad got injured, and now this. With even thier star QB Quinn Ewers injured, will the game stay in Texas’s favor?

Even though the Longhorns are dominating, Oklahoma State still has a chance to make up for the 14 points in the remaining time. If they turn this into reality, it will go down in the books of history. It has been almost 18 years since the Texas brought the National Championship home. Will it be this year that they break the streak and claim the National Championship again?
