The Texas Longhorns faced questions from the media in a press conference recently. His answers were mostly diplomatic and crisp as he encountered a compelling question from the media. One of the pressers asked whether the offensive players were being paid $50,000 with respect to their recruitment. To this, Flood replied with some thinking and answered. He said- “In recruiting, we don’t lead with NIL, that’s not how we do it. I think teams that have done that have really not prospered you know. I don’t think that’s the way you build a team.”

Kyle Flood was strictly against recruiting players only from an NIL point of view. Moreover, he also questioned the legitimacy of players and the tactics involved in absorbing players from the monetary angle. However, these words might come back to haunt the OC since his team comprises Arch Manning. The boy with the famous last name has appeared in a few games for the side. But most importantly, Manning is on course to topple the NFL giants with his massive NIL earnings.
