But on Saturday, he surpassed all expectations by officially running a 4.21-second 40-yard dash, breaking the previous record. Head coach Sarkisian and several others joined him to celebrate this NFL record on social media. Meanwhile, NFL Network also released a recent video praising Texas football’s recent achievements which caught the coach’s attention.

Chase Daniels, a sports analyst on NFL Network, pointed out that it wasn’t just Xavier Worthy who stole the show, but the entire Texas football team. “The Longhorn Nation with all those guys that they had….Xavier Worthy, Keilan Robinson, Adonai Mitchell, Ja’Tavion Sanders… the whole combine was this Texas clinic”, he said.
He also praised Xavier Worthy’s performance, stating, “It was insane, and you look at this… 4.21 seconds… he is the fastest man ever in the combine.” He also added how Worthy initially ran a 4.25, which would have been the fifth fastest in combine history. Along with Xavier Worthy’s record-breaking 40-yard dash, teammate Adoni Mitchell impressed with the third-fastest time (4.34 seconds) among receivers. Keilan Robinson placed fourth in both the 40-yard dash (4.42 seconds) and broad jump (10-foot-4), showcasing his explosiveness. Even TE Ja’Tavian Sanders displayed impressive speed with his 4.69-second 40-yard dash.
