Quinn Ewers still repping OSU—Is this the ultimate loyalty or just stirring the pot?

Quinn Ewers, who is no longer a part of Ohio State as he left in year 2022, still seems to influence the ongoing rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State greatly. During the SEC Media Day 2024, Quinn, who played an important role in the SEC, was given a spot on the 17th of July along with Kelvin Banks Jr. and Jahdae Barron. However, Quinn ended up fueling it all up with his statement during the interview.

Quinn Ewers has a high profile as a top recruit and acts as a key player for Texas. Whatever he says can blow up big time! The fact that Quinn started playing with Ohio and has played against Michigan in 2021 the whole talk boils up more. Texas is set to play with Michigan on the 17th of September, which is not even a month away, let us see what Quinn has to say that brought fans to a stage of storming Twitter!

Texas is set to play against Michigan on the 17th of September. As Quinn’s journey started with Ohio State, it is really hard to take the roots out of a man even when he grows up and becomes something else, something major. Seems like the case with Quinn. On the SEC 2024 Media Day, when asked about the excitement for the game with Michigan, Quinn very smartly used Ohio State’s rallying cry addressing Sherrone Moore’s Michigan, he said, “And then going up to the big house. Yeah, I mean, it’s going to be an awesome environment. Players are going to be rocking, especially all the hype, just because it’s an early game. And, you know, they’re coming off a really big win, or the national championship. And, yeah, the team up north.”  Fans took up Twitter and shared their reactions to this statement made by him. Fans flooded Twitter with expressions of love and support in response to this statement made by him. One fan came in and tweeted,“Quinn Ewers still has that Buckeye in him. Saying “the team up north” 

The opinion in this tweet did not stand alone but many other fans had similar thoughts. Like this other fan who came in and said that Quinn still has Ohio left in him, the fact that he used that term for Michigan. Sounds like a clear indication that the horns are up and that Texas is awaiting for Michigan on the 17th. Quinn is indirectly calling out Michigan to beware as the game is set. As other fans were also not left behind, they chimed in the whole conversation going around, “the team north up”.

The fans did not hesitate one bit while supporting Quinn who was a former player of Ohio State. Some fans came in and said that no matter that he has left Ohio he will always stay the Buckeye. Hinting directly on how much he is adored by them as Quinn is still not forgetting where he has come from. The fan wrote, “Once a buckeye always a buckeye.”

Another user went a notch ahead of everyone and looked ahead in time and declared how he could not wait for Quinn to join the NFL, that too as a QB of Ohio State and not Texas. Seems like fans have high expectations that he will come back to Ohio again. He tweeted, “I can’t wait to claim him as an Ohio State QB when he’s in the NFL”
