Shilo Sanders took a Miami trip to surprise the Sanders family. There was more surprise waiting for the Buffaloes‘ safety, however. Interestingly, not everyone in Miami is familiar with Shilo. Whoops! — a funny vlog shows him getting playfully ignored by people who are all about his super-popular Sanders clan.
Shilo joined the family trip a bit late and decided to surprise everyone with a “Miami Vlog” showcasing his adventures on South Beach. His accomplice? Darius Sanders, who captured the lighthearted chaos on camera.
The July 5 vlog on Reach The People Media features Shilo walking the streets and conversing with random people. In one instance, he meets a group of ladies. Seizing the opportunity for a playful joke, Shilo points to Darius and says, “This is Shedeur right here. He plays quarterback…he plays quarterback for Colorado. He’s going to be the lead. He’s going to be the first pick.” Well, the ladies seem convinced.

But the fun doesn’t end there. Another passerby completely misses Shilo. “They don’t even know, man,” Darius laughs. When asked about his favorite Colorado player, the man enthusiastically says, “His [Deion] son, the quarterback,” completely ignoring Shilo standing beside him! Even when prompted about “What about his other son?” he said, “His other son can pop good” without knowing Shilo’s name. He even complimented Coach Prime as a great “motivator.” When the guy finally realized Shilo was Deion’s other son, laughter erupted!

Lately, Shilo Sanders has been discovering the harsh realities of being overshadowed by his superstar family! During a recent meet-and-greet, young fans swarmed Shedeur Sanders, the flashy quarterback, chanting his name and rapping lyrics of Perfect Timing, swooning over his “blingy styles.” They even mimicked his wristwatch gesture, leaving Shilo in the dust. Amidst the “Shedeur is the best” chants, one young fan even took it a step further, bluntly chanting, “Shilo sucks!”

While kids can be brutally honest, it highlights Shilo’s struggle to gain the same level of popularity as his quarterback brother and legendary head coach father, Deion. This trend extends beyond young fans — Shedeur’s name is already popping up in way-too-early mock drafts for next year as a first-round pick. However, it’s further eclipsing Shilo’s accomplishments as a senior safety. With the upcoming Big 12 season, will Shilo reclaim some of the spotlight with eye-catching plays? Let’s see!
