Shilo Sanders is in bad, bad waters. The past that he thought was all covered up and locked away came back to bite him and his father, Deion Sanders. Shilo Sanders has filed for bankruptcy in Colorado after losing the massive $11.8 million assault and battery lawsuit. The person whom Shilo assaulted, the security official at his high school in Texas, has now made another claim that could end up with his father, Deion Sanders, in legal trouble.
John Darjеan, the former Yankees turned high school baseball coach and security official at TripleA Academy in Dallas, accused Prime of tampering with the evidence of the incident. Darjean, who suffered serious injuries and bone fractures because of Shilo Sanders hitting him, was immediately hospitalized after the heated altercation. After spinal surgery, permanent neurological damages, and irreversible incontinence, the medical bill that Darjean received exceeded $115,000. When he took the case to Dallas County Court, however, it went in limbo. Darjean explained the reason for it during his interview with Jason Whitlock in ‘Fearless’.
“We were under investigation. Deion takes it upon himself to reach out to one of our staff members, the IT guy, and says ‘I need you to steal the videos’. He didn’t say steal, he said ‘I got him to take it on the down low’. I had somebody to slide in and get it off,” Darjean confessed. When Whitlock inquired how he knew that this had happened, he confessed that “Deion Sanders said it in the deposition.”

During the incident, the plaintiff escorted Shilo to an in-school suspension for violating the school’s no-phone policy. Shilo has called his mother Pilar then, instead of his dad. When Deion Sanders came to know of this, he asked Darjean to confiscate his phone. This led to Shilo getting extremely aggressive, slamming his elbow into Darjean’s chest and continuing to hit him after he fell. This lead to several consequences, but one of them has haunted Shilo to the present.
Shilo Sanders’ second bankruptcy
The $11.8 million lawsuit that Shilo Sanders lost resulted in him filing for bankruptcy in Colorado in December 2023. In October 2023, Shilo disclosed $477,881 to his name and later disclosed $320,477 in December 2023. However, it was not the first time that Shilo Sanders was filing for bankruptcy.
Back when the heated exchange took place and Shilo Sanders was dragged to the Dallas court along with his parents, Shilo had filed for bankruptcy then. The fact was also confirmed by Darjean in the same interview with Jason Whitlock. “It was then that Shilo had filed for bankruptcy for the first time, in Dallas, Texas,” Darjean said. However, it was later ‘closed out‘. Now all that the fans await is to see where this second bankruptcy would lead him.
