Paul Finebaum vs. Shilo Sanders—Who's right about Shedeur's Super Bowl potential?

That’s what you call a catchup session with the homies! Shedeur Sanders caught up with his brothers Shilo and Deion Sanders Jr. on a podcast. And guess what the result was? The Buffs quarterback got the necessary support just before the 2024 season. Shedeur showed towering confidence about the Colorado Buffaloes’ Super Bowl win a few days back.

While it did not sit well with the analyst Paul Finebaum, he got support from the Buff’s safety, Shilo, who clapped back at the analyst. Is Shedeur on the right track as far as his expectations are concerned?

Hot news often emanates from Big 12 Media Days. This time, Shedeur gained all the limelight as he dropped the big claim that Colorado is “everybody’s Super Bowl.” And this exalting confidence from the QB ruffled Finebaum’s feathers. As it was not well received, the analyst retorted, “I heard Shedeur Sanders say last week, “we are everyone’s Super Bowl.” Shedeur, you are not. You are an easy win nowadays… and quite frankly, you haven’t done anything since other than crash and burn…but Colorado isn’t important in college football.” And now Shilo had to stick up for his brother.

On the 2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders podcast, the Buffs safety fostered a belief of limitless possibilities in the QB, “It is what it is bro. It’s the Super Bowl that’s why every out was at but why you think all the weight games are packed out bro they don’t fill up.” He simply just tossed out Finebaum’s claim and encouraged a can-do attitude. “You was born cause of what like I said the team you was born cause what happened to make you be born on deserve,” came the much-needed boost from Shilo. And the Buffs safety is not the only one to support Shedeur’s big dreams surrounding the Super Bowl.

Staples’ perspective on Colorado’s competitive edge

Being a Heisman contender, Shedeur will give nothing but his best. On July 11, on the On3 podcast with Andy Staples, a clip was shared where the QB faced a serious question by Carter Bob, “Do you have an obligation to perform at a different level?” To which, “I’ve been doing that since day one. I remember the first Media day, when I was in HBCU, I said we won’t lose a game. I’m undefeated in the SWAC,” replied Shedeur on how he thinks highly about himself.

What’s your perspective on:

Paul Finebaum vs. Shilo Sanders—Who's right about Shedeur's Super Bowl potential?

Have an interesting take?

While for people like Finebaum, there seems to be no chance of Colorado laying their hands on the Super Bowl title, analyst Staples thinks otherwise. “You think he’s wrong? But he’s not. He’s not wrong on that. Everybody who plays Colorado wants to kick the crap out of Colorado,” claimed the podcast host. Will their past season’s catastrophic record be that ideal push?  At least Staples thinks so, “Like normally, when a team that was 1-11 the year before or 4-8 before, comes to your stadium. You’re like, yeah, this is going to be a boring game. Deion brings so many eyeballs. That everybody Colorado plays wants to beat the living crap out of them.”

Pumped up by the analyst, Shedeur has already taken up the reins and is adding extra horsepower to improving his game this season. Why wouldn’t he? After all, his father, Deion Sanders, has come up with the best of the best picks to bolster the new-look offensive line that would surface as the finest armor for the QB.
