Deion Sanders Jr., or Bucky as he’s known, has dropped a bombshell! The son of the flamboyant NFL and MLB legend has opened up about the stark contrast between his family’s public image and private struggles. Bucky shed light on the struggles his mom faced after the 1998 divorce.

On the July 24th ‘Reach The People Media’ podcast, he opened up about their post-divorce life. With raw emotion, he shared, “My mom wants to go to Egypt to see the pyramids. I can’t help do that. My mom needs help paying the bills cuz she has now she’s broke. Because she done help me out too much.” He painted a picture of a woman who sacrificed everything for her son, only to find herself in financial distress later in life.

Bucky explained that his mom used to spoil him when he was younger, as he said, “She helped me buy this machine and where I learned how to sew or my cricket machine or some s**t where I would cut and then press the shirt….now she’s f**ked up.” But he quickly added, “I don’t use her mortgage money” and explained that he can’t touch his trust fund until he’s 30. Looks like the restriction added to her distress!

Now, Deion and his ex-wife split up way back, right when he was playing for the Dallas Cowboys. They were married for almost seven years before calling it quits. Carolyn Chambers said they just couldn’t work things out and also got custody of their kids. It’s believed the ex-model is worth $2 million and probably got some money from Deion when they divorced, but it seems like it didn’t last long.

These days, she’s working hard as a realtor and Bucky’s always there to support her.

Deion Sanders Jr. is definitely a mama’s boy. As Carolyn Chambers won custody, he spent a lot of time with her after the divorce. Looks like this bond period has strengthened their love and support for each other. 

Last month, at the opening of his Truck Ranch, Bucky got all emotional thinking about her. He said, “I’m not trying to sound weak,” and added, “I’m editing this video taking pictures with people and she in the back saying don’t lose hope, don’t give up.” He remembered how she would always encourage him, even when things were tough.

Sure, Bucky’s mom is quite amazing. Moreover, Carolyn Chambers, now 59 years old just got her master’s degree in divinity! Bucky was so proud of her, he even shared pictures of her graduation on social media. He said, “That’s how it’s supposed to be man. That’s excellence.” He even made a special segment about his mom on his ‘Well Off Media’ video. She was so proud, showing off all her degrees – an MBA, a degree in religion, one in psychology, and two others. It’s good to see their bond bloom, especially after going through tough times.
