Navigating challеngеs and еmbracing changе

In one of her earlier posts on Instagram, Shelomi said, “It[Diabetes] takes a toll mentally…you get no days off with this stuff. It’s hard because it’s just you dealing with all this, but then you have these outside voices like my parents and my brothers and other family members saying you need to do this or that and it’s like, just chill.”

Despite the challenges, Shelomi remains committed to her basketball aspirations. She joined the CU women’s basketball team after moving to CU with her father and brothers. However, following a disappointing season with the Buffaloes, playing just 2.4 minutes per game as a redshirt freshman, she recently entered the transfer portal window.

Notably, Pilar Sanders has been the pillar of strength and support for Shelomi’s decision. As she navigates the transfer process, all eyes are on Shelomi as she seeks a new destination to pursue her basketball journey.
