Deion Sanders Jr. fails to outwit his dad—Is Coach Prime the smartest coach in the game?

The Coach Prime signature shoes are all the rage within the college football community as well as the ardent ‘sneakerheads.’ They are unbelievably hard to get since popular demand ends up emptying the shelves before the fans get to see them. Amidst this fever, Bucky tried to get his hands on a pair of his father’s shoes himself but it was universal karma when Deion’s clever methods left him exiting with empty hands.

Deion Sanders, the HC for the Colorado Buffaloes, ended up reviving his relationship with Nike after a tragic fallout in the 2000s. He released the first Air Diamond Turf in 1993 and then the sequel, Diamond Turf 2 in 1994, which were sold like hotcakes. Now, that the iconic shoes are back for a return, the same frenzy has returned along with it since they’re sold out everywhere already. As such, Bucky had to resort to desperate measures to get his hands on a DT ’96 and yet, it wasn’t meant to be since Deion had already made a clever move to prevent his sons from stealing it from his office.

Though the youngster chose the Red and White colorway shoes as his favorite pick, he ended up changing his mind when he realized that they weren’t his size. Yet, Bucky was in for another surprise when he picked up the classic Black and Golden shoe.

Good news for Bucky, the shoes were in his size! Bad news: Deion’s office only had one of the other pair, and the other shoe couldn’t be found anywhere. In Bucky’s words, he ended up searching for 5 minutes for the other shoe and yet could not turn it up anywhere. While leaving his father’s office with disappointment, he was heard saying, “What type of person keeps only one shoe in the office like not both? That’s lying bro, I would never do that to you. I would never do that to you. You moving funny man, Shedeur was right about you dog.” It looks like Bucky will have to wear for the next Nike drop like the rest of Coach Prime’s impatient fans who are itching to get their hands on the stylish pair of sneakers. With all that said, here’s a look at the popularity of Coach Prime’s iconic shoes that has caused a drought around all sneaker stores.

The recent fruition of Deion Sanders and Nike’s partnership was going to finally bless the millions of fans and yet, it was only a short-lived dream. As soon as they were stocked, the drop on 14th June generated a tremendous response and sold out quickly. As a result, a second drop on June 28th was scheduled but surprise surprise, the fans reacted the same way.

People purchased all the items from the 28th June drop in a matter of a few minutes, which was staggering to say the very least. In an aim to appease his fans, Deion announced that there will be more drops over the next 2 years and in different colorways than the original as well. The Coach Prime fever has never been bigger. So much so, that his own sons have to deal with the consequences of a lack of abundance of the pairs to go around.
