The heated battle of the best quarterback continues to envelop the headlines of college football. While both Shedeur Sanders and Carson Beck showed immense talent in the last season, it will be a head-to-head war between the two to make it to the top spot of the 2025 NFL Draft. Moreover, with several analysts picking the Bulldogs’ QB over Shedeur, this football enthusiast had a different song to sing altogether.
Shedeur Sanders, the QB for the Colorado Buffaloes, is being touted to make it to the top 2 picks for next year’s Draft. ESPN recently released their Mock Draft, and it saw Shedeur being ranked in the 2nd position while Carson Beck headlined the chart and was drafted by the New York Giants. Carson Beck is a generational talent, no doubt, but as per Torris Patrick, he is only being hyped up to be good solely because the Georgia Bulldogs are a good team.

On the 5th July episode of the Big Tiger Media YouTube channel, the host, Torris Patrick, shared his views on the Shedeur versus Carson Beck debate and ultimately, landed on a brutal few words for the fandom of the Georgia Bulldogs. After which, Patrick went on to justify his reasons for how Shedeur is a better QB and the Bulldogs fans should save themselves from embarrassment.
While comparing both Colorado and Georgia fans, Patrick was heard saying, “Georgia fans are way worse than Colorado fans, I’m talking about five times worse.” Furthermore, he talked about how Georgia being a good team makes Carson Beck look good when, in fact, that is not true. He said, “I don’t know if you really know who your quarterback is. I think your team is so good, you get confused and you think your quarterback is good. Your team is just so much better than everybody y’all playing against. It makes him look good.”

Thus, while the Shedeur v/s Carson debate continues to make heads turn, this year of college football could give us the answer once and for all when the two giants clash against each other soon. Chiming in with his opinion on the Shedeur or Carson debate, this was ESPN’s Matt Miller, who had bold words to say for the Bulldogs’ QB’s supremacy.

If we were to take a look at least season, Shedeur was the nation’s most-sacked quarterback with 52 tackles to his name. This insinuated that the Buffs’ defense was too lousy and couldn’t protect their pivotal player. With this being in mind, Miller chose to pick Carson Beck over Sanders, because of his ability to stand his ground under high-pressure situations.
Miller gave his deep analysis on both the stars and was heard saying, “So I think Beck is the player who is the top quarterback in this class because of how well he protects himself in the pocket and what he does with that big right arm, whereas Shedeur Sanders, very surgical but he gets rocked in those pockets and at times, gets a little bit beat up. That’s going to be a big question for a quarterback who is 6 foot 2, 215 pounds.” Even though he may be second to Carson Beck, Shedeur is still one of the best QBs in this class and if he does want these predictions to come true about him, he will have to stand up to all the expectations this year and perform much better than last season.
