Colorado held its 58th Memorial Day parade on Monday, one of the state’s longest-standing traditions. With 6,218 names on the Memorial and an estimated 8,000 citizens on the street, the mile-and-a-half route gives the community a place to heal and find solace in shared grief. As proud locals made it to the parade in honor of fallen soldiers, HC Deion Sanders, too, in his own way, likely set a curfew for his team to be a part of the experience.

But Shedeur Sanders & Co., who were enjoying their camp by the woods and lakes, weren’t thrilled with the head coach’s curfew. The team, forged in brotherhood, wanted some extra “unplanned bonding time.” Taking charge, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, hatched a plan to break curfew with some of his fellow players.

It was a weekend of bonding for Shedeur Sanders and the rest of the Colorado Buffaloes. Deion Sanders had planned a weekend retreat with activities like knife throwing, archery, fishing, and even a scavenger hunt to help the revamped Buffs gel. However, for Coloradans, this May 24-27 is their Memorial Day weekend and a time to honor fallen soldiers. Knowing this, Coach Sanders likely set a curfew for his players to show respect for the holiday, just like many others in the state do.

Deion Sanders Jr’s “Well Off Media recently shared a glimpse of the Coach Prime’s son planning to break the curfew. In the video, Shedeur calls an impromptu team meeting and tells his teammates, “If we all going in there, this what we want to do. Like Coach what you think like we are as a teamcollectively came together. He framed it as a team decision and cleverly picked Charlie Offerdahl — whom Deion recently called a “game changer and “one of the guys he loves to deliver — the message.

The video further shows how the team approaches Offerdahl, as one member slyly mentions, “You know him…you know who Charlie is, highlighting Offerdahl’s current favor with the coach. Meanwhile, the two-way star Travis Hunter barges in, saying, “Y’all want me to go tell, cuz I still on business. However, the team seems to favor Charlie, dismissing Hunter with a “You won’t (go talk to coach).”

Apart from Coach Prime and his sons have a great time, Sanders’ ex-wife Pilar also shared her surprise at the eventful gathering on the Memorial Day in Boulder, Colorado.

Posting a video on her Instagram stories, she expressed her amazement saying, “This is what they do on holiday, I think this started out like 6’o clock in the morning. It is so wild. They have these events all the time where we see the bunch of bikers or runners or climbers, outdoor people It is completely an outdoor community. People come from everywhere. It is a lot of fun. Meanwhile, in an attempt to break the curfew, Shedeur’s group sought help from the team’s Latin-American star, Alejandro Mata. Whether their escape plan in the woods worked is unknown, but their bonding efforts shone throughout.

Shedeur & Hunter take charge of Buffs’ bonding

The Colorado Buffaloes seemed like they desperately needed a break. After a rough patch with player departures and a disappointing last season, a team retreat was just what they needed. They will face North Dakota State in just three months, and building on-field camaraderie was crucial.

Thus, the Buffaloes were divided into teams to kindle the bond, with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter leading the charge. Shedeur’s group aimed their arrows in archery challenges, while Hunter’s team dominated the fishing scene. However, the final scavenger hunt was epic, testing their wit and teamwork.

They were assigned to find items around camp that represented “toughness, discipline, character, and smart.” Hunter’s team took the prize, choosing a rock, a tree branch, an ant, and a flower – with clever analogies for each. While Hunter’s team won the challenge, Shedeur looked still focused on his escape plan.
