Trash talk is a staple in football, but when it spills over into social media, it often creates quite a spectacle. Recently, Shedeur Sanders found himself in the middle of another online feud, this time involving Jaxson Dart and Billy Bowman. Sanders, who previously faced backlash during a spat with Gavin Kuld, seems unbothered by the lessons of the past.

Shedeur Sanders is no stranger to the spotlight, both on and off the field. Known for his flashy lifestyle and active social media presence, Sanders often finds himself at the center of online drama. For example, his Instagram post promoting his merchandise during a halftime break, right before a major loss to Stanford, sparked widespread ridicule online. So, let’s check out what he cooked up this time against Jaxson Dart.

The latest incident began on June 30th when The Verdin Verdict posted a video of Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart practicing at Camp Manning. Billy Bowman, a defensive back for Oklahoma, retweeted the video with the comment, ‘Pick six 🤭’. Dart responded with, ‘Yeah okay buddy, we gon see,‘ escalating the banter. Dalvin Truth, a Colorado fan account, chimed in, criticizing Dart’s engagement, saying, ‘This is a leader; he shouldn’t be on the internet responding to people. He should be the bigger person.‘ This criticism drew a laughing emoji from Shedeur Sanders, who found the entire exchange amusing.

This wouldn’t be the first time the young Sanders had randomly walked into another online feud. In a previous incident, Sanders faced significant backlash during a feud with former Colorado quarterback Gavin Kuld. Kuld accused Sanders of selfishness and criticized his NIL earnings during an interview. The interview, which has since been deleted, featured Kuld airing grievances about his treatment by Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s father and coach.

Kuld’s claims sparked a heated response from Shedeur, who took to social media to defend himself and his family. ‘I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. I’ll spare you only this 1 time,‘ Sanders tweeted. The exchange led to widespread criticism, with many feeling that Sanders’ response was unprofessional and added unnecessary fuel to the fire.

Revisiting the Gavin Kuld controversy

In an interview with MadDog TV, Kuld detailed how Shedeur gave him the silent treatment and excluded him from quarterback discussions. ‘He was completely mute to me,’ Kuld said, adding that Shedeur told the coaching staff Kuld would never be the backup quarterback. Kuld also took jabs at Shedeur’s lavish lifestyle, pointing out his six cars and expensive apartment. Deion Sanders’ confidant, Uncle Neely, also weighed in, criticizing Kuld for burning bridges and potentially harming his future prospects. Why leave and burn bridges because the relationship capital you have with your coaches and your former teammates you never know what that’s going to mean five, ten, twenty years from now,‘ Neely stated.

Shedeur’s online behavior, although speaking up for his family, was still harsh and unprofessional. And wildly, this is not even the tip of the iceberg. Back in April 30th, Shedeur retweeted a post by The Athletic, which covered what Xavier Smith felt during his conversation with Coach Prime and entering the transfer portal. “Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best,” Shedeur retorted out of nowhere.

Well, it feels like Coach Prime’s son just can’t get enough of the internet rage. However, it is yet to be seen whether these internet fights negatively impact Shedeur’s career or not, as the young QB is still performing solidly on the field and on his way to potentially winning a Heisman.
