A couple of years ago, Shedeur Sanders was a name that wasn’t familiar with most of us. But times have changed and he’s suddenly in the spotlight and it looks like his rise to fame isn’t dropping anytime soon. A lot of what the Colorado Buffaloes QB is can be attributed to his father Deion Sanders who sees life more than how it appears. 

Not many can relate to having a legendary athlete as a father and with fame comes luxury. True, Coach Prime was a famed two-sport athlete and more than often, he likes to flaunt his wealth through his fashion style. But if you hear what Shedeur Sanders has to say about growing up with him, you’ll understand that the Sanders kids are on the path to greatness. 

Shedeur Sanders talks about a humbling experience growing up

Shedeur Sanders recently caught up with retired NFL MVP on his YouTube channel 4th & 1 with Cam Newton to talk about his life as Coach Prime’s son. He vividly recalled an incident where Deion Sanders moved them across the town from a rich house to a more humble dwelling. He said, “I remember when I was in that position. I never forget that. Nobody else can relate to that because they ain’t lived my life.”

Growing up in a nice big 25,000 sq ft house with its own football field, arcade, basketball court and leaving all those to move to a more modest house can leave a scar of loss on anyone. That’s what Deion Sanders did to impart a humbling experience to his kids. And one of the things that this college football sensation learned from his father is that, “Nobody is going to be real with you. The only thing I can do and to promise myself is just be a real person.” But how did the 22-year-old suddenly become a sensation?

Shedeur Sanders’ popularity factors

From being called Prime’s son to Shedeur Sanders, he has come a long way to making his own name both on and off the field. A lot of combined factors come into play when we look at how Shedeur Sanders received fame and popularity. Perhaps, the biggest factor is his talent and performance on the field that initially built his foundation.

Shedeur Sanders is also known for his resilience and confidence. Despite Colorado facing an unimpressive record last season and him getting sacked 52 times, he still performed incredibly throwing for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns. Under Deion Sanders’ guidance as he continues to pursue his own person, time might unfold how much of a sensation and inspiration he could be for the younger generation.
