Julian Lewis’s final visit to Boulder turned into a full-fledged welcome party! The 5-star QB received a rockstar reception from the Buffs faithful, leaving no doubt they want him on their team.

Lewis, already familiar with Coach Prime’s program from previous two unofficial visits, made his last one on June 21st. Now, the city went all out and embraced him with open arms. A local burger joint “Sink Burger” even created a special cheeseburger and named it “JuJu Burger” – and it flew off the shelves on his visit day!

Even Social media buzzed with excitement. From Colorado’s official realtor, Laura Levy, to the legendary 99-year-old superfan Peggy Coppom, everyone chanted “We Want JuJu!” Young fans joined in, holding signs outside the Champions Center that declared “Welcome Home JuJu” and “No Fanbase Wants You More.” Now, joining them, even the current starting quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, fueled the hype. He reposted Lewis’s news on his X handle with a single word: “Legendary.”

Fans packed the Colorado facility on a non-game day, that too on a weekend prompting even their current star QB to respond. Now, it’s clear the whole city is ready to welcome a future star under center. Adding to the excitement, even Lewis reshared one of the fan posts with fire emojis giving his thumbs up for the warm welcome.

But the hype turned quite real when the Buffs cornerback Kamron Mikell hinted on Instagram Live that they’ve secured Lewis, saying “We got him y’all.” Did the Buffs really land their future QB1 and Shedeur Sanders’ eventual replacement?

Julian Lewis’s potential arrival in Boulder has been a hot topic since his first visit months ago. Although he’s committed to USC, Lewis has been keeping his options open with visits to other programs. However, for the Buffaloes, there’s a double chance here. First, with Shedeur Sanders leaving for the NFL next year, the starting QB spot will be wide open, offering Lewis a chance to start early. Second, reports suggest a close personal bond between Lewis’s dad, T.C., and Buffs head coach Deion Sanders. Buffs insider Scott Procter quoted On3’s national recruiting analyst saying, “Coach Prime and Julian’s father talk about more than just football… that could be the turning point  that gets JuJu to flip from USC to Colorado.”

Adding to the excitement, Lewis himself is raising the bar. He participated in the Elite 11 QB finals and even won the “Steady as She Goes award.” Thus, if the Buffs manage to land him, it would be a huge win for their fans. The entire city of Boulder already seems ready to welcome this 5-star quarterback with open arms!
