If Beck continues to get higher ratings than Shedeur Sanders, the QB will need to thoroughly upscale their game against Beck to get that QB 1 spot. Now, to make the competition a bit more demanding for Sanders, Riley named the players who followed the Colorado QB, who could overtake him if things don’t go as planned in Colorado this season. Texas’s Quin Ewers got the 3rd position, while North Dakota State’s Riley Leonard was at the 4th, and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe was at the 5th position. Now, in the 2025 NFL draft, any of these top QBs could become a threat to Shedeur Sanders, along with Carson Beck, of course. However, Shedeur Sanders has his QB skills to rely on. Riley had some opinions on Shedeur’s strengths too, like his strong arm and precise ball placement. Yet, he could work on controlling his nerves in the field, leading him to make more calculated and less hasty decisions on the field. If Sanders can manage this well this season, he has a good shot at securing that QB1 spot in the 2025 NFL draft. CAN SHEDEUR SANDERS GET TO QB1? The football world stands divided over this. Will Shedeur Sanders be the QB1 or not? On this side, top voices like CBS Sports firmly believe that Shedeur Sanders will be the QB1 in the 2025 NFL draft. Whereas ESPN believes that Carson Beck will easily get drafted as a QB1 before Shedeur Sanders. The opinions are many. However, all of it would be decided solely based on the performance Shedeur Sanders shows in this season. Last season, Shedeur Sanders was named the most sacked QB in the whole of CFB since he was sacked 52 times. Now if Shedeur and Co. continue making records like these in this season, ESPN’s side of the debate is likely to win. However, if the renewed offense with Jordan Seaton and Co. can take care of it, then CBS Sports’ belief in Shedeur Sanders getting drafted as No.1 would stand true. So, which side are you on?

A 21-year-old native of Jacksonville, Florida, Carson Beck is a headline magnet. The Georgia Bulldogs quarterback is growing his fanbase each passing day. Beck attended Mandarin High School, where he achieved significant success in football. His impressive performance of throwing for 3,546 yards and tailing 30 touchdowns helped him achieve 2018 Florida Mr. Football as a junior. He was also honored to be named the USA Today Florida Offensive Player of the Year.

In his sophomore year, he first decided to play baseball at Florida. But he changed his mind and committed to Alabama because he was made for the gridiron. Before that, he led his high school Mandarin to a Florida State Championship. In that game, he threw for five touchdowns. Beck’s stats are quite impressive as a senior. He has recorded 1,843 yards and 20 touchdowns on 278 completions.

In the same year, he played three games, throwing for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Beck successfully showcased his talent and steady improvements in his game, which helped him increase his fanbase and become the No. 1 quarterback. Finishing the year in his style in the 2023 regular season, Beck again led the Bulldogs to a 12-1 record, and he and his team dominated the Orange Bowl victory. He threw for 203 yards and tailed two touchdowns. The 6-foot-4 QB is a pro at manipulating arm angles. His skills on the ground have helped him be the top quarterback nationally.

Beck’s career highlights and achievements include 389 passing yards and four touchdowns in a single game. Currently, Beck is majoring in sports management at the University of Georgia. He has received multiple scholarships for athletic and academic achievements.
