The snub EA Sports pulled on Shedeur Sanders was brutal. Not having the QB, who is considered the best in the CFB, on the cover of one of the most awaited CFB games, raised several eyebrows. After this, hardly anyone can expect Shedeur Sanders to be pleased by Esports Giant. To make his frustration obvious, Shedeur Sanders has avoided commenting on Travis Hunter’s major achievement like the plague.

So, the fans had to be surprised when Shedeur Sanders posted the trailer of the College Football 25 on Instagram. They didn’t need much time to connect the dots, however. The fans concluded that it was all for a personal reason, one that was evident in Shedeur’s caption. “Perfect timing I’m in the game. Pre-order now,” Shedeur wrote accompanying his post, prompting the fans to pre-order the game since he was in it.

The EA Sports Standard cover of College Football 25 has been the hot tea of CFB since it was released on May 16. The cover features Travis Hunter in the center, with Quinn Ewers and Donovan Edwards accompanying him. Since Prime has publicized his QB son as the best from his team, the hit was hard on Sanders since he didn’t get a feature on the cover of a video game going to be released in his final year of CFB eligibility.

Shedeur Sanders can only pray that his avoiding commenting on Hunter’s covers-shoot achievements doesn’t backfire on him as it happened with his and Xavier Smith’s diss. The “mid” comment of Shedeur put him in the limelight for all the wrong reasons, highlighting him as an inept leader. Will ignoring the lifetime milestone of one of his finest team members, who is also the best two-way star in the CFB, further fuel the allegations of Shedeur not being a good team leader? Especially when Travis Hunter does not shy away from calling his teammate his best competitor.

Travis Hunter isn’t planning on stopping at just one historic feat in his last year in college football. The 2023 Paul Hornung Award recipient is all set on his way to making history in CFB. While getting on the cover of EA Sports video game cover gave it a good start, Hunter is planning on ending the saga with the Heisman Trophy this season.

He is, however, well aware of the competitors he would have walking on that road. “Me, Shedeur, Quinn, and Donovan,” Hunter said to the reporter on the YouTube video he posted on his channel. The fact that Hunter is not afraid to address Shedeur as his competitor makes the situation even more brittle for Shedeur Sanders, since he has yet to acknowledge his teammate’s achievement as a leader when that same teammate has put him in his top-tier opponent list.
