Shedeur Sanders, the prince of the Colorado Buffaloes, keeps getting fire dished out at him. Nevertheless, the NFL scouts choose to focus on his talents rather than the swarm of social media controversies that get attached to his name. Despite the heated words against Gavin Kuld, the Colorado star player is predicted to be a top-3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Gavin Kuld, the 6th string QB for the Colorado Buffaloes, recently announced his decision to enter the transfer portal amid the mass exodus that the Boulder program has been witnessing. In one of his interviews, Kuld revealed that he was unhappy with the way Shedeur spent his NIL money, to which the latter clapped back by saying, “I learned sometimes you have to take the high road. @GKuld I’ll spare you only this 1 time.” However, it doesn’t look like the ongoing online beef will tarnish Shedeur’s draft numbers at all as he continues to be of tremendous interest to many.

After Shedeur fired back at Kuld, he later went on behind all the media organizations that continue to interview the players who have left Colorado. In his tweet, he said, “Y’all just interview anyone that leave from Colorado just to get a negative look on the program.” Yet, even with all the backlash that surrounds him regarding the beef against Xavier Smith, Cormani McClain, and now Gavin Kuld, he is still speculated to be a number 1 pick in the 2025 Draft.

The GM, whose identity has not been made public, highlighted the possibility of Shedeur being a top-three quarterback in the 2024 class, had they worked on him as much. He said, “Absolutely, he was a first-round pick [in 2024]. Absolutely. There would have been seven [QBs taken in the first round]. We obviously didn’t do as much work on him as the other quarterbacks once he announced he wasn’t coming out, but he would have been in the top three [quarterbacks] for us this year, I think, had he gone through the entire process.”

The Buffaloes’ star player doesn’t often receive his fair share of flowers for his talents as a QB, but if things go well for him, he might just be a number 1 prospect in the 2024 Draft. Moreover, another agent for the NFL talked about how the Commanders would’ve loved to sign Shedeur.

Shedeur Sanders was being sought by the Commanders

Since the Washington Commanders had the second pick in this year’s draft, there was a high chance that LSU’s Jayden Daniels could’ve been replaced by Shedeur if he had entered the Draft this year. As per an agent, the Commanders have been actively pursuing the opportunity of signing Shedeur ever since he showcased an immense amount of talent in the 2023 season.

Moreover, the agent compared him to the likes of Daniels and Drake Maye in his statement that read, “I would have been stacking him right there with Daniels or [Drake] Maye. Definitely would have had him before [Michael] Penix, [J.J.] McCarthy or [Bo] Nix. If this kid comes out, he’s going in the top five or six picks. He could be the first pick of [the 2025] draft.” Thus, with so many of the NFL specialists claiming Shedeur as the top pick next year, it definitely puts a lot of weight on his shoulders as he plays his last year under his father, making the upcoming season all the more interesting as far as the stakes are concerned.
