Everybody has different opinions on who they think is the best QB in college football. But Brandon Walker’s judgment of the Top 10 QBs didn’t sit well with most people, especially Colorado Buffaloes fans. Even Shedeur Sanders, who named himself as having the perfect QB buildup, couldn’t digest the CFB personality’s conclusion.
Almost a week ago, Walker posted on X rating the top college football QBs, with the Top 1 being Georgia’s Carson Beck. Surprisingly for Shedeur Sanders and his fans, he’s listed at the bottom as the Top 10 college football QB. This invited a flurry of mixed reactions, including a response from the Buffs QB that further led to Walker taunting him on social media.

When Walker’s report came out, Shedeur Sanders tweeted, “Send Brandon a Drug test.” A few days later, Walker took the bitterness further by posting a picture of him holding up a Prime Screen drug test. He captioned the post, “Hey @ShedeurSanders did you send me this drug test?“

The nine QBs before Shedeur Sanders may have earned their spots in Barstool Sports Walker’s Top 10 list. But Shedeur Sanders couldn’t believe how he ranked so low despite him being the potential No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite a lackluster offense last season, the 22-year-old managed to complete 69.3% of his passes for 3,230 yards and scored 27 TDs to three interceptions. He believes that he’s easily the best QB in college football.

Shedeur Sanders names himself as the near-perfect college football QB
Shedeur Sanders’ self-confidence shone as he credits himself with the traits a perfect QB should have. Crediting accuracy to Tom Brady and mobility to Michael Vick, he racked up his other qualities: football IQ, arm strength, toughness, and competitiveness. He said, “I’ll say it’s a mixture because I’m able to stay in the pocket and deliver the ball… I say it’s a mixture of a lot of great QBs that all just have a different skill set. So that’s why I feel like I’m special in what I bring to the table.”

Shedeur Sanders also told Sports Illustrated, “I’m biased, but I don’t see a quarterback that’s better than me. I don’t see a quarterback that went through as much adversity as me, that had four different OCs in four years.” Last season was a blunder, at least record-wise. But Shedeur Sanders and the Buffs still have a chance to make things right before he leaves for the pro league next season.
