The CU linebacker also interacted with a few athletes, signing their footballs. Moreover, Chaka Sutton, the supervisor of the Special Olympics athletes, expressed that this is a dream come true for many of his athletes who were eager to meet the Buffaloes players in person, especially Shedeur. “Several of the players and your athletes got to meet Shedeur Sanders. They were excited about that,” Sutton remarked. “That’s a memory they’ll never forget.” Sutton also expressed his eagerness to return next year, highlighting the profound impact this experience has had on the athletes.

Uncle Neely asked Sutton if he wanted to keep this football camp going in the coming years, and Sutton’s feedback was quite positive. “I think today we have about 75 who registered. You know, we’d love to double that and continue to grow and grow it, and just open that opportunity up for more and more of our athletes here in Colorado,” he further added. Sutton’s feedback was quite touching, as he wanted the special athletes who are also a part of the Buff Nation to have the “ultimate opportunity” to learn from the best in Colorado.
