The Sanders family is dealing with double standards!
Not everything is equal for them because a similar action can lead to stark outcomes. This January, Colorado Buffaloes stars Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders took part in the Paris Fashion Week’s Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 Show. But while their participation enraptured the media, it paved the way for critics to troll the brothers.
The critics claim that the Sanders brothers chose the walk over their first team meeting, which labeled the CU Buffs as “not a serious football program.” Coach Prime has, of course, defended his sons with a clarification. Fans can’t help but compare and point out the differences when a fresh incident similar to the past occurs.

Comparing Shedeur and Shilo Sanders’ fashion show with former LSU stars
On June 25, Matt H. reposted Adam Schefter’s X post, a video clip of former LSU stars Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson, who “participated Sunday in the Vogue World fashion show in Paris.” The pair donned sleek black suits and rocked Place Vendôme as the Vogue World event served as the stopper to the Paris Fashion Week 2024. In the caption, he wrote, “When Shilo and Shedeur did this, people said they were a cancer to the team.”

When Shedeur and Shilo walked the ramp showcasing the brilliance of Pharrell Williams’ designs, they received a fair share of support and criticism. According to what sports analyst Steve Kim said in a Fearless with Jason Whitlock episode, “Generally, the high-profile quarterback is a team leader and starting safety is one of the better defensive players; and they’re coach’s sons who are both high profile. To miss the first team meeting or any meeting, this is not a serious football program!”

The hostility trained at the Sanders brothers’ serenading is purely malicious and drags both the Sanders family and Colorado football down. As hate circulated among naysayers following Shedeur and Shilo Sanders’ walk, Deion Sanders took to X to denounce the criticism by providing a clearer picture. After lauding all of his three sons for getting an opportunity from Pharrell Williams and Louis Vuitton, he directly addressed the haters, saying, “For u haters, they didn’t miss 1 practice, the main team meeting was mainly for the new players & the Head-coach Cleared them.”
Despite the response, the Sanders family continued to receive heat from naysayers with the incidents that followed suit, such as when the Buffs suffered a transfer portal exodus or when Coach Prime was accused of forcing his players to attend his son’s opener at the Lil Wayne concert. While every Buffs fan would like to see this animosity vanish, the brutal truth is that criticisms will continue to pour in on Colorado. Hopefully, Deion Sanders will triumph above all hate and show the world how positivity tops criticism.
