“She Don’t Listen All the Time”: Deion Sanders Hilariously Cribs About Shelomi’s Ignorance While Discussing His Role as a Parent

Shelomi Sanders might be ‘Bossy’ for others, but she will always be her daddy’s little girl. While the banters between Deion Sanders and Shelomi Sanders are endless, their bond exceeds all of it. The duo is often seen hurling wisecracks at each other in several videos. The one with Bret Boone was no different.

During an interview for The Bret Boone Podcast, Coach Prime was discussing his parenting style when Shelomi Sanders joined in for a short time. While he was a proud parent when speaking of Shelomi’s accomplishments, Deion Sanders resorted to jokingly complaining, “She don’t listen all the time,” when it comes to her taking his advice.

However, when the interviewer, a former teammate of Deion Sanders asked “What’s it like having pops Prime Time? Is he easy? Is he hard on you?” Shelomi Sanders replied, “Both!” Well, Coach Prime, being a bit tough on his kids when it comes to their future is no secret.

For instance, he publically bashed Shedeur Sanders for not having ‘passion’ when he hardly missed any game despite suffering from multiple injuries throughout the season. But, while celebrating their wins, Coach Prime has the loudest cheer in the room. Deion Sanders was among the first ones to post about his daughter scoring her first basket in her college career as a freshman. “@shelomisanders first bucket” gushed Sanders. The praises and punishments, however, do not stop him from teasing her daughter all he can while the 19-year-old is with him.

Deion Sanders issues a power ranking of his kids every once in a while. In his past couple of rankings, Shelomi has always ruled the top positions. For instance, in the latest ranking, Shelomi was second, while ‘Buckey’ Sanders Jr. was first, mainly because he earned Colorado all the marketing they had. In the ranking previous to this, Shelomi Sanders was throned in the first position.

Deion Sanders’ parenting style

Coach Prime has been in a plethora of controversies online because of fans alleging that he favored his son Shedeur Sanders in Colorado. This birthed speculation about Deion Sanders being an overprotective parent for his kids. It is a widely known fact that Prime controls the media appearances and many other aspects of his children’s lives.

His prime critic Jason Whitlock bashed Sanders regarding his parenting style, calling it a ‘helicopter parenting style’ where he is ‘over-involved’ in his kids’ lives.
