Is Shedeur Sanders ready to silence his critics, or is he just another overhyped QB?

What a complete circle life has become for Shedeur Sanders! He once called his former teammate “mid,” igniting a blazing controversy. Just a couple of months after it, he also got called “mid as f**k,” by Shaun King, escalating another controversy. But who’s to blame? The drama hardly stays away from Colorado and the Sanders! Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders are the protagonists of this drama. However, Shaun King has extended his allegation of Shedeur Sanders of ‘not putting in the work’ to other QBs in the league too.

It all started when Shedeur Sanders hit the road to Miami to catch up with Cam Ward, the Miami Hurricanes QB for a football session. The two ended up in a small strife, captured by Well Off Media, where Ward called Shedeur’s antics as ‘BS’. After looking at the frequent vacations of Shedeur Sanders, King believed that Shedeur was ‘not putting in the work’. Although Shedeur did reply to Ward, “I’m coming back tomorrow. We gonna see what you are talking about,” the analysts are not keeping calm amid the storm.

The battle is waged; the sides are getting picked. Kevin Boba, the host of the ‘Locked on Buffs’ podcast, has also picked his side during his July 10 episode. “Having someone else call you out, one of your peers, that’s a pretty big deal,” Boba explained, expressing the ‘disheartening situation of Shedeur Sanders. The podcast host was surely on Shedeur’s side, and after this, he was not letting someone else question his efforts.

It’s okay for Cam Ward to hold him accountable but for all these people to start questioning if Shedeur works hard or not, I just feel like that’s asinine,” Boba said with no filters attached. Despite all this, the host had one reason, one un-arguable reason, to shut all the ones questioning whether Shedeur was putting in the work or not.

2025 NFL draft: Shedeur Sanders’ shield from questions

According to Boba, Shedeur is already cemented as a first-round pick. Pick up any early 2025 mock draft. The NFL scouting teams are truly on their A-Game now. “They are way too smart these days to know if a QB works hard or not,” as Boba puts it. Since Shedeur Sanders has a cemented spot in the early 2025 NFL draft, all the questions surrounding Shedeur’s ‘work’ fly out of the window.

Now, some might even question Shedeur Sanders’ position as a top 10 prospect in the mock drafts. But people, each mock draft won’t be the same. What we are trying to say here is that most mock drafts have faith in Shedeur Sanders to be drafted as a top 10 CFB prospect, if not top 5. ESPN, The Athletic, PPF, Bleacher Report, and several other top seeds have confirmed through their mock drafts that Shedeur Sanders is most likely a top-10 prospect, likely to land with the Las Vegas Raiders.
