As Deion Sanders enjoyed his time with his mom, Connie Knight, and other close acquaintances like Bill Goldberg, Shilo dropped in after days he declared bankruptcy. 

The meetup involved heart-to-heart exchanges that captured the strong bond in the Sanders family. While Deiondra could not participate in the celebration, she ensured she would leave her presence under Deion Sanders’ Instagram post. 

Momma Prime’s love and connection spread across generations

The Memorial Day Cookout did have the presence of big shots like Darius Sanders and Grandma Knight, while Deion Jr. made it a point to capture every moment. However, there was some void as Shilo did not pay a visit. But he chose to surprise his father and grandma. Deion Sanders later shared the heartwarming encounter on Instagram. After greeting Grandma with a hug and kisses, Deion Sanders told Shilo, pointing at Connie, “She said you don’t come enough.” The Buffs’ safety further reassured, “I know I’m a favorite grandson I got to come.” While Deion Sanders’ other kids, including Shedeur, could not be spotted during the celebration, Deiondra did leave a comment below his dad’s Instagram post.

Deion Sanders’ daughter just had her gender reveal, and since she is going through a difficult pregnancy, given her health conditions, she might have chosen to stay home. But her heart longed to spend time with Grandma Connie as she greeted her in the comment section, “Heyyyyyyy grandma!!” This shows how dear Momma Prime is to Deion Sanders and his children. 

Connie Knight’s unwavering support behind Deion’s success

Deion Sanders’ post on Mother’s Day says it is all about what the family feels about Connie Knight. The dedicated post showcased Momma Prime’s influence on every family member as it read, “Happy REAL Mother’s Day, and sadly enough there’s a difference. A real mother doesn’t calculate a tab regarding what she has done for u, she has sacrificed for the family, she is the backbone of the family.”

In an interview with Ed Mylett, Coach Prime revealed how his mother went to work the night shift and never saw Deion play any game in high school. But the Buffs HC, being a caring son, did ensure that Momma Prime gets to live her life, and once he was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft, Connie has not worked since. She raised Deion Sanders alone after her split with Deion’s father when the now-Buffs HC was two years old. 

Hence, every member of the Sanders family draws inspiration from the tales of Grandma Connie’s sacrifice. Now that Shilo Sanders is going through a rough patch in his personal life, will he reach out to his grandma for some advice?
