Months ago, Deion Sanders and his son Shedeur Sanders were turning a deaf ear to thousands of comments. They alleged Shedeur Sanders was a byproduct of Coach Prime’s ‘nepotism’. Although there were instances where Prime and Shedeur Sanders tried to scorn some, they were never-ending. So, the father-son duo decided to redeem themselves with their records, rather than words.
Even though the QB suffered on-field because of lack of protection from his offensive line in the 2023 season, Shedeur Sanders had already set a school record for the most passing yardage in a season with 3230 yards. Now, further strengthening the accolades section in his resume, Sheduer Sanders became the best returning QB in college football after his phenomenal performance throughout the years at CU and Jacksonville.
On the other hand, the Buffs QB also holds the record for being the most sacked QB with his 52 sacks. But, with the revamped roster of Buffs, Sanders is expected to get better protection with their stronger offensive line lined up with the top-notch O-line players across the nation.

Despite the lack of a proper offense backing him up, Shedeur Sanders amassed a total of 3,230 yards, 27 TDs, 3 interceptions and 69% completion rate. Now that he is getting players like OT Jordan Seaton taking care of the attacks, the sky is the limit for the QB when speaking of records. While he could not make it to the 2023 Heisman finalists, fans are heavily anticipating Sheduer Sanders to reach the list this season, even potentially winning the most-prestigious trophy across the landscape of college football in his senior year.
Safe to say, each Buffs game of the 2024 season will present the team with a new opportunity to improve upon their mistakes from the last season, like the delayed play-calling or the offensive loopholes. However, given the strong friendships that are forming in the team, especially by Shedeur Sanders, the progress is expected to take place a lot faster.

The team’s next big thing, OT Jordan Seaton, is also a good friend of Shedeur Sanders. The two often post about each other on social media. From a welcoming story to a post-appreciating story, the exchanges between Sanders and Jordan are an almost public affair. With the fostering of all these friendships, Sanders is expected to get to his possible Heisman Trophy, a lot quicker than estimated thanks to the support he would get.
